20. Predigt von Jesus… Die Erscheinung Jesu bei den Jüngern
(5. März 1872)

Johannes 20:19-31
Am Abend aber desselben ersten Tages der Woche, da die Jünger versammelt und die Türen verschlossen waren aus Furcht vor den Juden, kam Jesus und trat mitten ein und spricht zu ihnen: “Friede sei mit euch!” Und als er das gesagt hatte, zeigte er ihnen die Hände und seine Seite. Da wurden die Jünger froh, daß sie den Herrn sahen. Da sprach Jesus abermals zu ihnen: “Friede sei mit euch! Gleichwie mich der Vater gesandt hat, so sende ich euch.” Und da er das gesagt hatte, blies er sie an und spricht zu ihnen: “Nehmet hin den heiligen Geist! Welchen ihr die Sünden erlasset, denen sind sie erlassen; und welchen ihr sie behaltet, denen sind sie behalten.” Thomas aber, der Zwölf einer, der da heißt Zwilling, war nicht bei ihnen, da Jesus kam. Da sagten die andern Jünger zu ihm: “Wir haben den Herrn gesehen.” Er aber sprach zu ihnen: “Es sei denn, daß ich in seinen Händen sehe die Nägelmale und lege meinen Finger in die Nägelmale und lege meine Hand in seine Seite, will ich’s nicht glauben!” Und über acht Tage waren abermals seine Jünger drinnen und Thomas mit ihnen. Kommt Jesus, da die Türen verschlossen waren, und tritt mitten ein und spricht: “Friede sei mit euch!” Darnach spricht er zu Thomas: “Reiche deinen Finger her und siehe meine Hände, und reiche deine Hand her und lege sie in meine Seite, und sei nicht ungläubig, sondern gläubig!” Thomas antwortete und sprach zu ihm: “Mein Herr und mein Gott!” Spricht Jesus zu ihm: “Dieweil du mich gesehen hast, Thomas, so glaubst du. Selig sind, die nicht sehen und doch glauben!” Auch viel andere Zeichen tat Jesus vor seinen Jüngern. die nicht geschrieben sind in diesem Buch. Diese aber sind geschrieben, daß ihr glaubet, Jesus sei Christus, der Sohn Gottes, und daß ihr durch den Glauben das Leben habet in seinem Namen.

01. Dieses Kapitel bestätigt Meine Auferstehung und zeigt euch ihre Wichtigkeit und Notwendigkeit als Bedingung, wenn Meine mit so großen Opfern erkaufte Lehre Dauer und Erfolg haben sollte; denn ihr seht Meine Jünger furchtsam, ohne Mut und Glauben, sich in die Wohnungen einsperren.

02. War doch, als Ich Meinen Jüngern – wie der Magdalena am Grabe erschien, einer Meiner Jünger so ungläubig, daß er erst durch unmittelbare Berührung Meiner Wunden sich von Meiner Auferstehung überzeugen wollte.

03. Dieses alles, was in jenen Zeiten geschah, nebst den anderen Zeichen, welche Ich vor Meinen Jüngern bei verschlossenen Türen ausübte Zeichen, welche ihr später auch erfahren werdet -, dieses alles wird auch bei Meiner nächsten Darniederkunft sich nach und nach vor den Augen der Menschen abwickeln.

04. Je mehr die Gläubigen Meiner reinen Lehre, wie Ich sie euch jetzt gebe, sich vermehren werden, desto mehr werden sie auch alle Stadien der Begeisterung, des Zweifels, des Unglaubens und alle Erschütterungen des geistigen Lebens durchmachen müssen; denn die Verhältnisse werden oft gegen Mich zeugen. Die Menschen werden Meine Anhänger in ihrem Glauben irreführen, werden sie verfolgen, hassen und wo es möglich sein wird, sich an ihnen rächen.

05. Es wird auch in der Zeit so Ungläubige wie Thomas geben, die irregeführt, entmutigt, allen früheren Seelenfrieden und Glauben über Bord geworfen haben, und die erst durch Mein persönliches Erscheinen zu heilen sein werden.

06. Was in der Zeit Meines Erdenwandels die Behausungen mit den verschlossenen Türen waren, das werden künftig die Herzen der Menschen sein, welche verschlossen weder dem Weltlichen, noch dem Geistigen einen Eingang erlauben wollen. Dort werde Ich auch gezwungen sein, mit sanfter Einsprache in das Herz Meiner Anhänger den Ruf ergehen zu lassen: “Fürchtet euch nicht!” und: “Der Friede sei mit euch!”, weil auch sie, ohne Halt und Stütze, auf dem Punkte stehen, alles zu verlieren und in ewigen Zweifeln unterzugehen.

07. Der ganz Ungläubigen, wie Thomas, wird es dann viele geben, die – selbst Meiner Stimme nicht mehr Gehör gebend – nur durch tatsächliche Beweise auf den früher betretenen Weg zurückgeführt werden können.

08. So müssen auch Meine Gläubigen und zukünftigen Kinder die letzte Feuerprobe des wahren Vertrauens bestehen; denn wenn sie, wie einst Meine Jünger, ausgesandt werden sollen, um anderen Vertrauen und Glauben einzuflößen, so müssen sie diese im höchsten Grad im voraus besitzen. Sagte Ich ja einst selbst: “An Meinen Worten und Taten sollt ihr Mich erkennen!” Ebenso müssen auch Meine Kinder und zukünftigen Jünger an ihren Taten und Worten zu erkennen sein, und durch sie den anderen den tatsächlichen Beweis liefern, daß Vertrauen und fester Glaube die erste Bedingung sind, Meiner würdig zu werden.

09. In jener Zeit sagte Ich zu Thomas, nachdem er seine Finger in Meine Wunden gelegt hatte: “Du glaubst nun; aber Ich sage dir: Selig sind, die nicht sehen und doch glauben!”

10. Auch ihr, Meine Kinder, denen Ich schon so viel geistiges Brot gegeben habe, auch ihr seid nicht um ein Haar besser, als Meine Jünger es einst waren. Auch ihr seid verzagt, kleinmütig, fangt an zu zweifeln, grübelt an Meinen Worten und wendet euch der Welt mit ihren verführerischen Reizen zu, wenn nicht alles gleich so geht, wie ihr es wünschet. Auch ihr verschließt euch, wie die Schnecke in ihr Haus, und wollt von der Innen und Außenwelt nichts wissen, wenn dem Anschein nach Widersprüche auftauchen, wo ihr gewisse Handlungen und Ereignisse mit Meiner allumfassenden Liebe nicht vereinbaren könnt. Euch muß Ich dann zurufen… “Was weint ihr? Spart eure Tränen auf andere Gelegenheiten! Der, welchen ihr von euch geschieden, entfernt glaubt, ist euch nahe, nur nicht körperlich, sondern geistig!” Auch der Magdalena mußte Ich zurufen: “Weib, rühre Mich nicht an; denn es war Mein vergeistigter Leib, welchen sie sah, der für menschlich körperliche Berührungen nicht tauglich war. Als Ich zu Meinen Jüngern in ihre verschlossenen Wohnungen kam, ließ Ich es zu, als fühlten sie Mich körperlich; aber im eigentlichen Sinne war Ich es nicht mehr. Denn als Meine Mission mit dem Kreuzestod beendigt war, hörte das Menschliche auf, Meine Umkleidung zu sein; es war schon vergeistigt, um nach wenigen Tagen sich mit dem Quell seines Gottwesens wieder zu verbinden.

11. Meinen Jüngern wirkte Ich, wie dieses Evangelium sagt, noch andere Zeichen, d.h. Ich öffnete ihnen ihr geistiges Auge und Ohr, damit sie, von Meiner Gottheit noch mehr überzeugt, den Mut erlangen sollten, allen künftigen Gefahren zu trotzen, welche die Umstände und ihr Lehrberuf mit sich bringen würden.

12. Solange Ich körperlich lebend unter ihnen wandelte, hatten sie noch keine feste Überzeugung, daß Ich ein gottähnliches Wesen wäre, und daß Ich Kräfte und Eigenschaften hätte, die dem gewöhnlichen Menschen nicht eigen sind. Sie sahen wohl Meine Wunder, lebten und glaubten aber auch nur unter dem drückenden Einfluß derselben. Kaum war Ich von ihnen genommen, kaum ließ dieser direkte Einfluß nach oder hörte ganz auf, waren schon der feste Glaube, Zuversicht und das Vertrauen hinweggewischt! Wäre Ich nicht auferstanden, hätte Ich nicht alle Meine früheren Versprechungen erfüllt, so wäre nicht ein Mondesumlauf verflossen, und Meine Jünger, zu ihren alten Beschäftigungen zurückkehrend, hätten das mit Mir Erlebte nur als einen Traum angesehen, von welchem ihnen nur eine Erinnerung übriggeblieben wäre, von dessen Wirklichkeit sie aber niemand hätten überzeugen können.

13. Und wie Ich damals Mein Werk mit Meiner Auferstehung, mit Meinem vierzigtägigen Wandel unter Meinen Jüngern bekräftigen und mit Meiner Himmelfahrt besiegeln mußte, ebenso muß Ich auch jetzt euch, Meine Kinder, leiten, stärken und im Glauben und Vertrauen festigen.

14. Wenn Ich in jenen Zeiten Meinen Jüngern den heiligen Geist einblies, wenn Ich ihnen die Macht gab, die Sünden zu lösen und zu binden – eine Gewalt, die bei der späteren Priesterschaft so falsch verstanden und mißbraucht wurde -, so geschah es deshalb, weil sie zur festen Überzeugung gekommen waren, daß es nur einen Gott gibt, der, über alles Materielle erhaben, ein Geist ist und nur als solcher erfaßt werden kann, und daß eben dieser Gott,Jesus, ihr Führer war. So konnte auch Meine Macht auf sie übertragen werden, so mußte sie wirken, da Meine Jünger sie zu hohen Zwecken anwendeten und nur Mein geistiges Ziel, die Menschen zu Meinen Kindern zu machen, als Endresultat anstrebten.

15. So wie Meine Jünger Wunder wirken und Kranke heilen konnten, bloß durch den Machtspruch des Worts, ebenso sollt auch ihr und alle Meine künftigen Anhänger gestärkt werden, im festen Vertrauen auf Meine Macht und Mitwirkung Taten zu verrichten, die dem gewöhnlichen Menschen unmöglich, dem geistig Wiedergeborenen aber ein leichtes sein werden. Die Zeiten und Verhältnisse werden euch dazu erziehen. Viele habe Ich dazu berufen, aber das ,Auserkoren- zu-diesem-Zweck` zu erreichen, liegt bei euch allein.

16. Verschließt euer Herz nicht Meiner Vaterstimme! Verzagt nicht, wenn auch die letzten Hoffnungsstrahlen schwinden! Ich bin und bleibe stets bei denen, die um jeden Preis bei Mir bleiben wollen. Wartet nicht auf Mein persönliches Erscheinen wie Thomas, sondern bereitet euch vor, fest zu glauben und fest zu vertrauen, damit Mein Erscheinen nur eine Bestätigung und Bekräftigung des schon früher Geglaubten und Gehofften ist! Ihr werdet dann tüchtig sein, Mir, euch selbst und euren Nächsten in dem Sinne zu nützen, wie Ich selbst einst Meinen Jüngern während Meines Wandels unter ihnen nützte.

17. Laßt euer Herz nicht von Zweifeln bestürmen, nicht mit Grübeleien euer Vertrauen schwächen! Meine Kinder sollen ihr Herz nicht verschlossen halten; sie sollen, erhaben über alles Weltliche den Blick nach oben richtend, stets Meines Opfers eingedenk sein, Meiner Liebe und Meiner väterlichen Fürsorge für sie und alle lebenden Kreaturen, damit ihr Herz, ein steter Tempel Meiner Liebe und des unerschütterlichen Glaubens an Meine Unfehlbarkeit, ihnen eine echte Stütze in allen Mißhelligkeiten des Lebens und ein fester Hort gegen alle Anfechtungen von Zweifeln und Unglauben sei. Dann werdet ihr stets den Ruf in euch ertönen hören: “Der Friede sei mit euch!” Denn wo im Hinblick auf Mich und Meine Liebe der Friede schon im Herzen thront, brauche Ich ihn nicht erst zu bringen, sondern kann ihn nur bestätigen!

18. So rufe Ich euch zu: Der Friede sei mit euch und weiche nie aus euren Herzen, damit Ich stets dort Eingang, und zwar freien Eingang, finde und nicht bei verschlossenen Türen durch die Gewalt Meines Willens eindringen muß, sondern ungehindert euer Gemüt bereit finde, Mich als Den anzuerkennen, welcher auch Seinen Jüngern in jener Zeit nichts anderes war als ihr Führer, Leiter und Vater! Amen.

20th Sermon of Jesus… The Lord Appears to His Disciples
(March 5, 1872)

John 20:19-31
“When the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said unto him, we have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

This chapter confirms My resurrection and shows you its importance and that it was essential if My teaching, dearly paid for with such great sacrifices, was to have permanency and success, for you find My disciples frightened, lacking courage and faith, locking themselves in their houses. When I appeared to My disciples – as I did to Mary Magdalene at the tomb – one of them was so unbelieving that he would only convince himself of My resurrection by touching My wounds. All that happened in those times, including the other signs Jesus did before the disciples behind closed doors, signs of which you will learn later, too, – all this will gradually happen before people’s eyes when I next come to the earth.

The more the number of believers in My pure teaching, as I am giving it to you now, will grow, the more will they have to experience all the stages of enthusiasm, doubt, disbelief and all the violent emotions of spiritual life, for circumstances will often bear witness against Me. People will be misleading My followers in their belief, they will persecute them, hate them and, wherever possible, take revenge on them.

At that time there will also be doubting people, like Thomas, who, misled and disocuraged, have thrown all their former peace of mind and faith overboard and will only be able to be healed through My personal appearance.

What at the time of My life on earth were the houses with locked doors, in future will be the hearts of those people who will allow entry neither to the world nor to the spiritual. There, too, I will have to call gently to the hearts of My followers: “Do not be afraid!” and “Peace be with you!”, because they, too, without support, are at the point where they may lose everything and perish in eternal doubts.

There will be many who, like Thomas, do not believe at all. They do not even listen to My voice any more and can only be led back to their previously entered road by factual proofs.

Thus also My believers and future children will have to pass the last crucial test of true faith, for if they – like once My disciples – are to be sent out to inspire others with trust and faith, they must necessarily possess these themselves, from the outset, in the highest degree. I once said that I shall be known by My words and deeds. In the same way also My cildren and future disciples must be recognized by their actions and words, thereby proving to the others that trust and firm belief are the prerequisites it they want to become worthy of Me.

At that time, I said to Thomas after he had felt My wounds with his fingers: “Because thou hast seen Me thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed!”

You, too, My children, to whom I have already given so much spiritual bread, are not in the least better than My disciples. You, too, are discouraged and faint-hearted, you begin to doubt, brood over My words and turn to the world with its seductive attractions if everything does not immediately work out as you would like it. You, too, shut yourselves away, like the snail in its house, and try to ignore both the inner and outer world if there seem to be contradictions when you cannot reconcile certain actions and events with My all-embracing love. Then I must call to you: “Why do you cry? Save your tears for other occasions; He, Whom you believe to be separated and distant from you, is quite close, but not physically, only spiritually!” Mary Magdalene I had to tell, too: “Touch Me not,” for it was My spiritualized body which she was seeing and which was not suitable for human physical touch. When I came to My disciples in their locked houses, I allowed them to have the impression as if they were feeling My physically; but actually it was no longer I. For, as My mission had ended with the death on the cross, I ceased to have a physical body. It was already spiritualized so as to reunite with the source of its divine essence within a few days.

As this Gospel mentions, I performed many other signs for My disciples, that is, I opened their spiritual eyes and ears, so that they, still more convinced of My deity, might gain the courage to withstand all future dangers that would be brought about by circumstances and their teaching mission.

As long as I still walked among them physically they did not have a firm convicition that I was a godlike being with powers and attributes ordinary people did not possess. They did witness My miracles, but lived and believed only under their compulsion. The moment I had been taken away from them and this direct influence abated or ceased altogether, their firm belief, their confidence and trust, had faded away. If I had not risen from the dead and fulfilled all My former promises, My disciples would have promptly returned to their previous occupations and regarded their experiences with Me only as a dream of which nothing but a memory would have remained of the reality of which they would not have been able to convince anybody.

And as I then had to put My seal to My work with My resurrection, My repeated appearances among My disciples during forty days and My ascension, thus I must now guide and strengthen you, My children, in your faith and trust.

If at that time I gave My disciples the Holy Spirit by breathing on them, if I invested them with the power to remit or retain sins – a power later on so much misinterpreted and misused by the clergy – I did this only because they had gained the firm conviction that there is only one God Who, superior to all that is material, is a spirit and can only be comprehended as such, and that this God, Jesus, was their guide. Thus also My might could be transferred to them, and it had to work, for My disciples only used it for noble purposes and aspired only after My spiritual aim to make people My children.

Just as My disciples could work miracles and heal the sick solely by the power of the Word, you and My future followers, if you have a firm faith in My might and participation, shall also receive the power to perform acts which are impossible to the ordinary person but will be easy enough to the one reborn in the spirit. The times and circumstances will educate you towards this. I have called many for this work, but whether you belong to the chosen ones depends on you alone.

Do not shut off your heart to My fatherly voice! Even when the last rays of hope are fading, do not lose heart! I am and remain always with those who want to stay with Me at all costs. Do not wait for My personal appearance like Thomas, but prepare yourselves to believe and trust firmly, so that My appearance will be only a confirmation of that which you have already believed and hoped for. Then you will be able to help Me, yourselves and your fellowmen as I once helped My disciples during My life among them.

Do not allow doubts to attack your heart nor brooding to weaken your faith! My children shall not keep their hearts shut. With their gaze directed upward above all worldly things, they shall always remember My sacrifice, My love and fatherly care for them and all living creatures so that their heart, as a permanent temple of My love and with unshakable faith in My infallibility, may be a true support in all life’s difficulties and against all temptations through doubts and disbelief. Then you will always be hearing within you: “Peace be with you!” For, where through faith in Me and My love peace is already dwelling in a heart, I do not have to bring it, but can just confirm it. Therefore, I am calling to you: Peace be with you and may it never leave your hearts that I may always gain free entry into them and do not have to force My way through locked doors with the power of My will, but find your hearts prepared to accept Me as the One Who, also to His disciples in those times, was nothing else but their leader, guide and Father! Amen.

«Ma la sera dello stesso primo giorno della settimana, poiché i discepoli erano radunati ed avevano serrato le porte per timore dei giudei, venne Gesù, apparve in mezzo a loro e disse: “La pace sia con voi!”. E come ebbe detto questo, mostrò loro le mani e il Suo costato. Allora i discepoli gioirono perché videro il Signore. Allora Gesù disse loro di nuovo: “La pace sia con voi! Come il Padre ha mandato me, così Io mando voi”. E dopo aver detto questo, alitò su di loro e disse: “Ricevete lo Spirito Santo! A chi rimetterete i peccati a costoro saranno rimessi; ed a chi non li rimetterete, a costoro non saranno rimessi”. Tommaso però, uno dei Dodici, detto Didimo, non era con loro quando venne Gesù. Allora gli dissero gli altri discepoli: “Noi abbiamo visto il Signore!”. Ma egli disse loro: “Se non vedo nelle Sue mani il segno dei chiodi e non metto il mio dito nel posto dei chiodi e la mia mano nel Suo costato, io non ci crederò”. E otto giorni dopo i Suoi discepoli erano di nuovo in casa e Tommaso con loro. Venne Gesù, quando le porte erano chiuse, si mise in mezzo e disse: “La pace sia con voi!”. Poi disse a Tommaso: “Metti qua il tuo dito e guarda le mie mani, e stendi la tua qui, e mettila nel mio costato, e non essere incredulo ma credente!”. Rispose Tommaso: “Mio Signore e mio Dio!”. Gesù gli disse: “Perché mi hai veduto, Tommaso, allora hai creduto. Beati sono coloro che non vedono e pure credono”. Gesù fece anche molti altri segni alla presenza dei suoi discepoli, ma non sono scritti in questo libro. Questi sono stati scritti, perché voi crediate che Gesù è il Cristo, il Figlio di Dio e perché, credendo, abbiate la vita nel nome suo.»

1. Questo capitolo certifica la Mia Risurrezione, e ve ne dimostra l’importanza e la necessità come condizione, affinché la Mia Dottrina, conquistata con così grandi sacrifici, dovesse avere durata e risultato; voi vedete, infatti, i Miei discepoli intimoriti, senza coraggio e fede, rinchiudersi nelle loro dimore.

2. Quando Io apparvi ai Miei discepoli – come alla Maddalena presso il sepolcro – uno di loro era così incredulo che volle convincersi della Mia Risurrezione solo col diretto contatto delle Mie ferite.

3. Tutto ciò che accadde in quei tempi, unitamente ad altri segni che Io feci davanti ai Miei discepoli a porte chiuse – segni che anche voi più tardi conoscerete[1] – tutto si svolgerà man mano davanti agli occhi degli uomini, anche con la Mia prossima Venuta.

4. Quanto più si moltiplicheranno i fedeli della Mia pura Dottrina, come Io ve la do adesso, tanto più essi dovranno passare tutti gli stadi dell’entusiasmo, del dubbio, dell’incredulità e tutti i sussulti della vita spirituale; le circostanze, infatti, testimonieranno spesso contro di Me. Gli uomini faranno deviare i Miei seguaci dalla loro fede, li perseguiteranno, li odieranno e, dove sarà possibile, si vendicheranno di loro.

5. Anche in quel tempo ci saranno increduli come Tommaso, i quali sedotti e demoralizzati, avranno gettato a mare ogni precedente fede e pace dell’anima, e potranno essere guariti solo con la Mia apparizione Personale.

6. Ciò che erano in quel tempo del Mio pellegrinaggio terreno le dimore con le porte chiuse, saranno in futuro i cuori di quegli uomini che, chiusi, non vorranno permettere un accesso né alle cose mondane, né alle cose spirituali. Lì, Io sarò costretto a far risuonare nel cuore dei Miei seguaci le dolci parole:«Non temete!», e: «La pace sia con voi!», poiché anch’essi, senza appiglio e appoggio, si ritroveranno al punto di perdere tutto e naufragare negli eterni dubbi.

7. Questi, completamente increduli come Tommaso, saranno molti, e – non prestando più ascolto nemmeno alla Mia Voce – potranno essere ricondotti, sulla via battuta in precedenza, solo con dimostrazioni basate sui fatti.

8. Così anche i Miei fedeli e futuri figli dovranno sostenere l’ultima prova di fuoco della vera fiducia; poiché se essi, come un giorno i Miei discepoli, dovranno essere mandati fuori per infondere agli altri fiducia e fede, dovranno prima possederla essi stessi in sommo grado. Dissi Io stesso una volta: «Dalle Mie parole e azioni, Mi dovrete riconoscere!». Ugualmente, anche i Miei figli e futuri discepoli saranno riconosciuti dalle loro azioni e parole, ed essi stessi forniranno agli altri la prova di fatto che fiducia e salda fede sono le prime condizioni per essere degni di Me.

9. In quel tempo dissi a Tommaso, dopo che ebbe posto le sue dita nelle Mie ferite: «Tu ora credi; Io, però ti dico: beati sono coloro che non vedono, eppure credono!».

10. Anche voi, figli Miei, ai quali ho già dato tanto pane spirituale, anche voi non siete migliori di un pelo, di quanto lo fossero allora i Miei discepoli. Anche voi siete scoraggiati, intimoriti, cominciate a dubitare, v’interrogate sulle Mie parole e vi rivolgete al mondo con i suoi fascini seduttivi, se tutto non va subito come desiderate. Anche voi vi chiudete, come la chiocciola nella sua casa, e non volete saper niente del mondo interiore ed esteriore, quando emergono all’apparenza, contraddizioni nelle quali non potete conciliare certe azioni e avvenimenti con il Mio Amore tutto comprendente. Allora Io vi devo domandare, esclamando: “Perché piangete? Risparmiate le vostre lacrime per altre occasioni! Colui che ritenete lontano e separato da voi, vi è vicino, solo non fisicamente, bensì spiritualmente!”. Anche alla Maddalena dovetti esclamare: «Donna, non Mi toccare!»; giacché il Mio corpo spiritualizzato, che essa vide, non era idoneo al contatto umano-corporale. Quando però Io venni dai Miei discepoli nelle loro chiuse dimore, allora permisi che Mi toccassero fisicamente, pur non nel senso umano vero e proprio. Compiuta, infatti, la Mia missione con la morte sulla croce, l’umano aveva cessato di essere il Mio vestimento; esso era già spiritualizzato, per congiungersi di nuovo dopo pochi giorni con la Sorgente della sua divina Essenza.

11. Ai Miei discepoli, come dice questo Vangelo, Io diedi ancora altri segni, e cioè aprii loro l’occhio, e orecchio spirituale, affinché essi, ancor più convinti della Mia Divinità, potessero acquisire il coraggio di affrontare tutti i futuri pericoli che le circostanze e il loro dovere d’insegnamento avrebbero comportato.

12. Finché camminai fisicamente vivendo tra loro, essi non ebbero ancora nessuna salda convinzione che Io fossi un Essere simile a Dio, e che avessi forze e caratteristiche non proprie all’uomo comune. Essi vedevano ben i Miei miracoli, vivevano e credevano però anche sotto il pressante influsso degli stessi. Appena Io fui loro tolto, appena quest’influsso diretto s’indebolì, oppure cessò totalmente, la salda fede, la certezza e la fiducia svanirono! Se Io non fossi risorto, se non avessi adempiuto tutte le Mie precedenti promesse, non sarebbe passato un giorno di luna che i Miei discepoli, ritornando alle loro vecchie occupazioni, avrebbero contemplato solo come un sogno quanto era stato vissuto con Me, di cui sarebbe rimasto loro solo un ricordo, e della cui veridicità essi non avrebbero potuto convincere nessuno.

13. E come Io allora dovetti consolidare la Mia Opera con la Mia Resurrezione, confermarla con la Mia vita di quaranta giorni tra i Miei discepoli e suggellarla con la Mia Ascensione ai Cieli, ugualmente adesso devo, figli Miei, guidarvi, fortificarvi e rinsaldarvi nella fede e nella fiducia.

14. Se Io in quei tempi insufflai lo Spirito Santo ai Miei discepoli, se diedi loro il potere di sciogliere e legare i peccati – un potere che fu compreso e abusato così erroneamente dal clero futuro – ciò avvenne perché essi erano giunti alla salda convinzione che esiste un unico Dio che, al di sopra di tutta la materia, è uno Spirito, e solo come Tale può essere afferrato, e che proprio questo Dio, Gesù, era la loro Guida. In questo modo, anche il Mio Potere poté essere trasferito su di loro, ed esso doveva operare così, poiché i Miei discepoli lo impiegarono per alti scopi, aspirando come risultato finale solo al Mio obiettivo spirituale: fare degli uomini, i figli Miei.

15. Così, come i Miei discepoli potevano operare miracoli e guarire i malati con il solo potere della parola, in ugual modo dovrete essere fortificati anche voi, e dovranno esserlo tutti i Miei futuri seguaci, con salda fiducia nel Mio Potere e nella Mia Collaborazione per compiere azioni che sono impossibili all’uomo comune, ma che saranno cosa facile per chi è rinato spiritualmente. I tempi e le condizioni vi educheranno a questo. Io ho chiamato molti, ma raggiungere la condizione di “prescelto a questo scopo”, sta solo a voi.

16. Non chiudete il vostro cuore alla Mia Voce paterna! Non perdetevi d’animo, anche se svaniscono gli ultimi raggi della speranza! Io sono, e resto sempre, presso quelli che vogliono rimanere a ogni costo con Me. Non aspettate la Mia apparizione Personale come Tommaso, bensì preparatevi a credere e ad avere salda fiducia, affinché la Mia Apparizione sia solo una conferma, e la convalida al già creduto e sperato in precedenza! Allora sarete qualificati a essere utili a Me, a voi stessi e al vostro prossimo, come Io stesso fui utile un giorno ai Miei discepoli, durante il Mio cammino in mezzo a loro.

17. Non lasciate assediare il vostro cuore dai dubbi, non indebolite la vostra fiducia con pensieri fantasiosi! I Miei figli non devono tener chiuso il loro cuore, ma elevare verso l’alto lo sguardo, al di sopra di tutto il mondano, memori del Mio Sacrificio, del Mio Amore e della Mia sollecitudine paterna per loro e per tutte le creature viventi, così che quel loro cuore sia un tempio stabile del Mio Amore e dell’incrollabile fede nella Mia Infallibilità, un vero sostegno in tutte le avversità della vita e un saldo baluardo contro tutti gli attacchi dei dubbi e dell’incredulità. Poi sentirete sempre risuonare la voce: «La pace sia con voi!». Poiché, dove già troneggia la pace nel cuore, con riguardo a Me e al Mio Amore, Io non ho bisogno di portarla, bensì posso solo confermarla!

18. Allora Io vi esclamo: la pace sia con voi, e mai retroceda dal vostro cuore! Che Io vi trovi sempre accesso, e precisamente libero accesso, e non, trovando le porte chiuse, Io debba entrare con il potere della Mia Volontà, ma trovi pronto il vostro animo libero, a riconoscerMi come Colui che anche in quel tempo, per i Suoi discepoli, non fu altro che la loro Guida, il loro Maestro e Padre! – Amen!

（1872年3月5日）

約翰福音20：19-31

這一章證實了我的複活，並且告訴你它的重要性，如果我的教學如果付出如此巨大的犧牲而獲得永久性和成功，那麼你就會發現我的門徒們害怕，缺乏勇氣和信念，把自己鎖在自己的房子裡。當我向門徒顯現時 – 就像我在墳墓裡對馬利亞的抹大拉 – 對他們中的一個人那麼不相信，他只會通過撫摸我的傷口來說服我自己的複活。在那些時候發生的所有事情，包括耶穌在閉門的門徒面前所做的其他跡象，你以後也會學習的跡象 – 當我下一次來到地球時，所有這些跡像都將在人們的眼前逐漸發生。

只要我還在身體上走過，他們就沒有堅定的信念，認為我是一個有著權力和屬性的普通人沒有的神仙。他們見證了我的奇蹟，但只是在他們的強迫下生活和相信。當我從他們身上被帶走並且這種直接影響完全消失或停止時，他們的堅定信念，他們的信心和信任已經消失。如果我沒有從死裡復活並實現了我以前的所有承諾，我的門徒就會立即回到他們以前的職業，並將他們與我的經歷視為一種夢想，只有記憶才會留下他們的現實。將無法說服任何人。

因為我必須在我複活的時候把我的印記放在我的工作上，在我的門徒中四十天和我的升天一再出現，所以現在我必須引導並加強你我的孩子們，在你的信心和信任之下。

如果當時我通過呼吸給門徒聖靈，如果我向他們投入了釋放或保留罪的權力 – 後來被神職人員誤解和濫用的權力 – 我做到這一點只是因為他們獲得了堅信唯有一位超越一切物質的上帝是一種精神，只能被理解為這樣，並且這位上帝耶穌是他們的嚮導。因此我的能力也可以轉移到他們身上，而且必須工作，因為我的門徒只用它來達到崇高的目的，並且只有在我的靈性目標是讓人們成為我的孩子之後才有意願。
