Jesus erklärt… Das Pharisäertum von heute
Himmelsgaben – 19. Juli 1841

Der Herr spricht:

1. Nicht heute, sondern morgen fange an zu schreiben am Hauptwerke (Die Haushaltung Gottes)! – Heute kümmert und besorgt es dich törichterweise der Predigten und üblen Nachreden von manchem überblinden Stein-Papisten (Katholiken), die da sind voll Eigennutzes, da sie entweder trachten nach den weltlichen Schätzen oder doch wenigstens nach dem nicht viel besser als türkisch gearteten, faulmütigen Wohlleben des Himmels, (der freilich wohl nirgends besteht und ewig nirgends bestehen wird) – Mich aber loben und preisen sie, wenn es noch gut geht, nur des gewissen Himmels wegen, meistens aber bloss zum Scheine, der Weltgüter und hohen Ehrenämter halber; und fast keiner ist unter ihnen der da Mich lobe, bitte und liebe Meiner Selbst willen.

2. Damit aber darob du und jeglicher Gleichgesinnte mit dir in sich den hinreichendsten, beruhigendsten Trost finden möge, so betrachte zuerst im 23. Kapitel des Matthäus den 13., 14. und ganz besonders den 15. Vers!

• 13. Aber wehe euch Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, ihr Heuchler! Weil ihr das Himmelreich verschlossen habt vor den Menschen, denn ihr geht nicht hinein, noch lasst ihr Jene, die hinein wollen, hineingehen.
• 14. Aber wehe euch Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, ihr Heuchler! Weil ihr die Häuser der Witwen verzehrt und als Darbietung lange Gebete sprecht. Aus diesem Grund werdet ihr ein härteres Urteil empfangen.
• 15. Aber wehe euch Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer, ihr Heuchler! Weil ihr über das Land und das Meer zieht, um Einen zu bekehren und wenn er gewonnen ist, macht ihr ihn zweimal mehr zu einem Kind der Hölle, als euch selbst.

Diese drei Verse werden dir hinreichend dartun, wie es mit dem heutigen Pharisäismus steht, zu dem der jüdische nur ein prophetisch-vorbildender war.

3. Dann aber wende die Blätter und lese das 23. Kapitel des Lukas, und zwar auch den 13., 14. und 15. Vers!

• 13. Pilatus aber rief die Hohenpriester und die Oberen und das Volk zusammen
• 14. und sprach zu ihnen… ‘Ihr habt diesen Menschen zu mir gebracht als einen, der das Volk aufwiegelt; und siehe, ich habe Ihn vor euch verhört und habe an diesem Menschen keine Schuld gefunden, deretwegen ihr Ihn anklagt;
• 15. Herodes auch nicht, denn ich sandte euch zu ihm zurück. Und schaut, Er hat nichts getan, was den Tod verdient.’

Da wirst du das Zeugnis des Pilatus über Mich finden und eine grosse Beruhigung für dich! Und wiederum wirst du auch das wahre Liebeverhältnis der jetzigen Pharisäer zu Mir ersehen. Oder meinst du nicht, so Ich heute in die Welt käme und möchte dem Papste seine Herrschaft streitig machen, dass er sich bei weitem ärger gegen Mich setzen möchte als dereinst der Kaiphas?!

4. Wahrlich, er würde sich bei allen Regenten verwenden, um Mich zum abschreckenden Beispiele unter der schauerlichsten, ewigen Höllenverfluchung öffentlich als den grössten Erzketzer am flammenden Scheiterhaufen verbrennen zu dürfen. – Gekreuzigt werde Ich ohnedies täglich und stündlich viele tausend Male, wie auch verkauft und verraten! – Du verstehest es!

5. Im 13. Kapitel des Johannes aber, und zwar im 18. Verse, wirst du finden, wer und was die nun privilegierten Brotesser’ und ‘Weintrinker’ sind und wie sie zumeist gegen Mich gesonnen sind. Denn wahrlich, diese sind es, die Mich noch allezeit mit den Füssen getreten haben!

Johannes 13:18… Ich spreche nicht von euch Allen. Ich weiss, wen Ich erwählt habe, aber dass die Schrift erfüllt sein möge… ‘Er, der Brot mit Mir isst, erhebt seinen Fuss gegen Mich’

6. Verstehe es wohl… Judas war nur ein arger Prophet für sie, und sie sind nun ‘in corpore’ das, was Judas im argen Bilde war!

7. Deinen und euern Zustand aber bemesset nach dem dritten Kapitel, Vers 12-14, des Briefes Pauli an die Römer. Allda werdet ihr deutlich finden, wie es mit euch stehet, und was ihr fortwährend zu tun habt!

• 12. Sie haben sich Alle zur Seite gedreht, sie sind zusammen unwürdig geworden. Da ist Keiner, der Gutes tut, nein, nicht Einer.
• 13. Ihr Rachen ist ein offenes Grab, mit ihren Zungen haben sie getäuscht. Das Gift der Ottern ist unter ihren Lippen.
• 14. Deren Mund ist voller Flüche und Verbitterung.

Denn am Tage sind die Werke der Finsternis kein nütze; wer da streitet, der streite mit den Waffen des Lichtes – und lasse die Wohlfresser und Wohlsäufer in ihren betürmten Kammern zugrunde gehen! – Ihr aber seid ehrbar in allen Dingen und haltet es nicht mit den Fressern und Säufern, sondern haltet es mit Mir in aller Liebe, Geduld und Sanftmut und zieht Mich also an – so werdet ihr leben!

8. Wenn ihr aber des Leibes wartet, da tuet es also, dass er nicht üppig wird und ihr gar leichtlich ersticken möchtet im Fleische und in allem, was des Fleisches ist! Verstehet es wohl! Denn ihr alle habt noch viel ‘Fleisch’! Wer aber fällt im Fleische, der stehet schwerer auf als ein vollbelasteter Elefant, der in einen Sumpf gefallen ist.

9. Darum schreibet auch ihr euch den 14. Vers jenes erwähnten Briefes recht nagelfest ins Herz, so werdet ihr einen ebenen Weg ziehen! Amen.

10. Das sage Ich, den die Bauleute verworfen haben und über den sie noch allezeit hergefallen sind und auch noch fürder herfallen werden. Amen.

11. O Du mein allerliebster Herr Jesus, Du wahrer Tröster Du! Überall und allezeit findest Du das allerrichtigste und wirksamste Trostwort für uns arme, schwache Sünder! – Darum sei Dir für alles ewiger Dank, ewiges Lob und alle unsere Liebe und Anbetung! Und allezeit Halleluja und Hosianna Dir in Deinem allerheiligsten Namen!

Jesus explains… The Phariseeism of today
Heavenly Gifts – July 19, 1841

The Lord says:

1. Not today, but tomorrow you shall start to write at the main work! – Today, you foolishly worry about the sermons and slander of one or the other most blind stone papist, who are full of self-interest, since they seek either for the riches of the world, or at least for the not so much better, turkish mannered, lazy luxuriousness of heaven (which, however, does not exist anywhere and never will exist in eternity) – They praise and bless Me, if it goes well, only because of a certain heaven, but most often only in pretence, for the sake of worldly treasures and high ranking honorable positions; and there is almost none among them, who praises, begs and loves Me for My own sake.

2. So that you and all like-minded with you may find within themselves the most sufficient and reassuring comfort, look first at Matthew, chapter 23, the verses 13, 14 and especially 15!

• 13. But woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the reign of the heavens before men, for you do not go in, nor do you allow those who are entering, to go in.
• 14. Woe to you, scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! Because you eat up widows’ houses, and for a show make long prayers. Because of this you shall receive greater judgment.
• 15. Woe to you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites! Because you go about the land and the sea to convert someone, and when he is won, you make him a child of hell twofold more than yourselves.

These 3 verses will make it sufficiently clear, how things stand today with the Phariseeism, for which the jewish one was merely a prophetic preparation.

3. Then turn the pages and read chapter 23 of Luke, verses 13, 14 and 15 as well!

• 13. And Pilate, having called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,
• 14. said to them… ‘You brought this Man to me, as one who turns away the people. And look, I have examined Him in your presence and have found no guilt in this Man regarding the charges which you make against Him,
• 15. and neither did Herod, for I sent you back to him. And look, He has done naught deserving death.’

There you will find the testimony of Pilate about Me and a great reassurance for you! And you will also get to know the true relation of love of the modern day Pharisees towards Me. Don’t you think, if I came into the world today to challenge the pope for his dominion, that he would oppose Me in a far worse way, than Caiphas did?!

4. Truly, he would campaign to get permission from all leaders, to publicly burn Me as the the greatest arch-heretic at the flaming stake, as a daunting example, under the most gruesome, eternal infernal execrations. – Besides, I am crucified daily and hourly many thousand times anyway, as well as sold and betrayed! – You know that!

5. However, within the 13th chapter of John, in verse 18, you will find who and what today’s privileged ‘bread eaters’ and ‘wine drinkers’ are, and how they are most often minded against Me. For truly, they are the ones who have always treated Me with contempt!

John 13:18… I do not speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but that the Scripture might be fulfilled… ‘He who eats bread with Me has lifted up his heel against Me’

6. Understand it well… Judas was only an arrant prophet for them, und they are now ‘in corpore’, what Judas was in the arrant image!

7. However, your condition you have to assess according to the third chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans, Verses 12, 13 and 14. There you will clearly find as to where you stand at and what you have to do continually!

• 12. They all have turned aside, they have together become worthless. There is none who does good, no, not one.
• 13. Their throat is an open grave, with their tongue they have deceived. The poison of adders is under their lips.
• 14. Whose mouth is filled with cursing and bitterness.

For during the day, the works of darkness are of no use; whoever fights, he shall fight with the weapons of light – and let all indulging gluttons and drunkards perish in their steepled chambers! – However, you all shall be honorable in all things and shall not socialize with the drunkards and gluttons, but socialize with Me in all love, patience and meekness, and thus draw close to Me – in this way, you will live!

8. But when you take care of your body, do it in a way, that it may not become opulent, so you may easily choke in the flesh, and in everything, that is of the flesh! Understand this well! For you all still have a lot of ‘flesh’! But whoever falls in the flesh, that one will have a harder time standing up than a fully loaded elephant that has fallen into a bog.

9. Therefore, you should write the 14th verse of the mentioned letter ever so tightly into your heart, then you will travel on a plane path! Amen.

10. This say I, whom the builders have rejected and whom they have attacked at all times, and will also do so in the future. Amen.

11. Oh You, my most loving Lord Jesus, You are the true comforter! You always manage to find the truest and most effective words to comfort us poor and weak sinners! – That’s why we thank and praise You eternally. Our Love and Worship belongs to You! And at all times, Hallelujah and Hosanna to You, in Your most holy Name!
