Suche, bitte & klopfe an… Der Herr als prüfende Braut

1. Januar 1843

Band 2, Kapitel 66 – Der Herr spricht:

1. “Suchet, so sollt ihr finden, bittet, so wird man euch geben, und klopfet an, so wird euch aufgetan!” – Oder… “Betet ohne Unterlass” – d.h. habet eure Herzen beständig bei Mir, und das vollkommen, nicht aber stets zur Hälfte auch bei der Welt, so werdet ihr gar bald und leicht finden, was ihr suchet, ebenso leicht und bald empfangen, um was ihr bittet, und die Pforten des Lebens werden euch ohne weiteren Verzug aufgetan werden. (Matthäus 7:7)

2. So aber jemand also beschaffen ist, dass er nur suchet in der ‘Mauer’, die da angestopft ist voll von heidnischen Schnitz- und Pinselwerken, und bittet vor Statuen und betet vor dem gebackenen Brote und klopfet an die Steine, wahrlich, der wird wenig finden, noch weniger empfangen, und die Steine werden sich nicht an sein Klopfen kehren!

3. So aber da jemand sagen möchte… “Herr, ich habe schon eine geraume Zeit gesucht, gebeten und geklopft, und es hat sich dennoch nichts Eigentliches finden lassen, noch habe ich etwas Bestimmtes erhalten, noch hat sich vor mir etwas aufgetan!” – dem sage Ich: Freund, was sprichst du?! – Höre und siehe, Ich will dir gute Bilder zeigen, und diese sollen Mich rechtfertigen bei dir, auf dass du dich nicht grämest über Meinen Verzug!

4. Siehe, es hatte ein Bräutigam eine reiche und überaus schöne Braut. Die Braut aber war überaus klug und sprach bei sich selbst… ‘Ich weiss, was ich tun will, damit es sich zeige, ob mein Bräutigam es völlig ernstlich mit mir meine. Ich werde verreisen und er soll nicht erfahren wohin. So ich aber verreise, da will ich es also anstellen, dass ich es nur tue zum Scheine und verbleibe in Wirklichkeit dennoch in der Nähe des Bräutigams, damit mir nichts entgehe und ich es genau merke, wie sein Herz beschaffen ist.’

5. Da aber die Braut verreist, da sagt der Bräutigam bei sich… ‘Siehe, meine Braut ist verreist und hat mir die Treue meines Herzens heilig anempfohlen und hat mich auch versichert, sie werde in aller Kürze wiederkommen. Allein statt ihr Wort zu halten, schreibt sie nur einen Brief um den andern, ermahnt mich stets zur Treue und will selbst doch nicht kommen. Was soll das? Sie vertröstet mich immer und sagt… “Ich komme, ich komme morgen” – und siehe, sie kommt nicht! – Was kann sie wohl haben, darum sie also stets verzieht?’

6. Die nahe Braut aber, verkleidet als ein Diener beim Bräutigam, spricht zum Bräutigam… “Mein Herr, erlaube dem Diener ein Wort mit dir zu sprechen, denn ich weiss es genau, was deine Braut verziehen macht. Siehe, deine Braut, welche dir näher steht als du es ahnst, erfährt stets und stets, dass du auch mit einer Hure reizenden Fleisches eine Sache hast und teilest dein Herz zwischen der Braut und der Hure. Und solches ist der Grund, warum deine Braut verreist ist und nun also verzieht. Lasse ab von der Hure, und deine Braut wird nimmer verziehen!”

7. Sehet das Bild und betrachtet es genau in euch, und ihr werdet es überleicht erraten, dass hier ihr die Bräutigame und Ich die Braut bin. Die Hure aber ist die Welt!

8. Ich sage euch aber… Die Braut ist verkleidet unter euch und beobachtet alle eure Schritte und Tritte des Herzens und spricht nun auch zu euch allen… “Lasset völlig ab von der Hure, und die Braut wird nicht mehr verziehen für jene, die sich völlig zu ihr gekehret haben!”

9. Also suchet, bittet und klopfet, so wird euch die Braut werden! – Suchet, bittet und klopfet „aber im Geiste und in der Wahrheit, und nicht in der Mauer und im Schnitz- und Bilderwerke und im gebackenen Brote“, sondern, wie gesagt, im Geiste und in der Wahrheit in eurem Herzen, so werdet ihr es finden, erhalten, und die Braut wird auftun die Türe zu ihrem Gemache!

10. Dieses sei euch allen beschieden in diesem neuen Jahre! Amen. Das sagt die Braut! Amen.

Seek, ask & knock… The Lord as testing Bride

January 1st, 1843

Volume 2, Chapter 66 – The Lord says:

1. “Seek, and you shall find, ask, and you shall receive, knock, and the door shall be opened for you!” – Or… “Pray without ceasing” – which means, keep your hearts always and completely with Me, and not always half of it also with the world, thus you will soon and easily find, what you seek und soon receive, what you ask for and the Gates of Life will be opened for you without any further delay. (Matthew 7:7)

2. But if one is conditioned to only seek in the ‘wall’, which is studded with all sorts of heathen carvings and paintings, and if one only pleads in front of statues and prays in front of baked breads and knocks at the stones, truly, such a one will find little, and receive even less, and the stones will not turn towards him!

3. But if somebody were to say… “Lord, I have sought, prayed and knocked for quite some time now, and yet I could not find anything, nor have I ever received something in particular, and neither has something opened up in front of me!” – To him I say… Friend, what are you talking about?! – Hear and see, I want to show you some good illustrations, and these shall justify Me before you, so that you may not fret about My delay!

4. See, a bridegroom had a rich and most beautiful bride. The bride was acutely smart and said to herself… ‘I know what I will do, so that it will be apparent, if my bridegroom is completely sincere with me. I will go on a trip, and he shall not know of my whereabouts. When I go on a trip, however, I will only do so for the sake of appearance, but in reality I will stay close to my bridegroom, so nothing will escape my eye and I will notice exactly, how his heart is constituted.”

5. However, since the bride went on a trip, the bridegroom says to himself… ‘See, my bride went on a trip and has commended me the faithfulness of my heart, and she has promised to return to me very soon. Only, instead of keeping her word, she writes one letter after another and she constantly reminds me to stay faithful, but she herself does not want to come. What does that mean? She always staves me off and says… ‘I come, I come tomorrow’ – and behold, she doesn’t come! – What is it with her that she keeps on delaying?

6. The close by bride however, disguised as a servant of the bridegroom, says to him… ‘My lord, please allow your servant to have a word with you, for I know exactly what makes your bride keep on delaying. See, your bride, who is closer to you than you think, constantly gets a hint, that you also have a thing with a harlot of sublime nature, and that you share your heart between the bride and the harlot. And that is why your bride went on a trip and now keeps on delaying. Let go of the harlot, and your bride will not delay any longer!’

7. Behold this illustration and contemplate it within you, and you will guess quite easily that in this example, you are the bridegrooms, and I am the bride, and the harlot is the world!

8. But I am telling you… The bride is disguised among you and watches every move of your heart, and she says to all of you now… ‘Let go of the harlot completely, and the bride will no longer delay for those who have turned to her completely!’

9. Therefore seek, ask and knock, then the bride will be yours! – Seek, ask and knock… but in spirit and truth, and not in the wall, in the carvings and in the paintings or in the baked bread, but as said, in spirit and in truth within your heart, then you will find and receive, and the bride will open the door to her chamber!

10. This may be granted to all of you in this new year! Amen. This says the Bride! Amen.
