“Den sollt ihr hören!” – Die Verklärung Jesu

Matthäus 17:1-13…
Und nach sechs Tagen nahm Jesus zu sich Petrus und Jakobus und Johannes, seinen Bruder, und führte sie beiseits auf einen hohen Berg. Und er ward verklärt vor ihnen, und sein Angesicht leuchtete wie die Sonne, und seine Kleider wurden weiss wie ein Licht. Und siehe, da erschienen ihnen Mose und Elia, die redeten mit ihm.

Petrus aber antwortete und sprach zu Jesu: “Herr, hier ist gut sein; willst du, so wollen wir hier drei Hütten machen, dir eine, Mose eine und Elia eine!” Da er noch also redete, siehe, da überschattete sie eine lichte Wolke. Und siehe, eine Stimme aus der Wolke sprach: Dies ist mein lieber Sohn, an welchem ich Wohlgefallen habe; den sollt ihr hören!”

Da das die Jünger hörten, fielen sie auf ihr Angesicht und erschraken sehr. Jesus aber trat zu ihnen, rührte sie an und sprach: “Stehet auf und fürchtet euch nicht!” Da sie aber ihre Augen aufhoben, sahen sie niemand denn Jesus allein. Und da sie vom Berge herabstiegen, gebot ihnen Jesus und sprach: “Ihr sollt dies Gesicht niemand sagen, bis des Menschen Sohn von den Toten auferstanden ist!”

Und seine Jünger fragten ihn und sprachen: “Was sagen denn die Schriftgelehrten, Elia müsse zuvor kommen?” Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Elia soll ja zuvor kommen und alles zurechtbringen. Doch ich,sage euch: Es ist Elia schon gekommen, und sie haben ihn nicht erkannt, sondern haben an ihm getan, was sie wollten. Also wird auch des Menschen Sohn leiden müssen von ihnen.” Da verstanden die Jünger, dass er von Johannes dem Täufer zu ihnen geredet hatte.

So spricht der Herr:

1. Hier habt Ihr wieder eine Begebenheit aus Meinem irdischen Lebenswandel, die Tiefes und Himmlisches in sich birgt und wie einst für Meine Mich begleitenden Jünger so auch für euch und die ganze lebende Menschheit ein bedeutungsvolles Ereignis und in seiner geistigen Entsprechung von grosser Tragweite für die Zukunft ist, der ihr entgegengeht. Wir wollen dieses Ereignis betrachten, wollen erklären, was es in jener Zeit und für Meine Jünger für eine Bedeutung hatte, und wollen dann auf seine geistige, grosse Entsprechung übergehen: wie, wann und wo es in jetziger Zeit sich wiederholt, und wie es als Regenerationswerk jetzt ebenso wirken wird, wie einst auf Meine drei Mich begleitenden Jünger und ihre fernere Lebensweise und Handlungen.

2. Das Evangelium sagt, Ich nahm Meine Jünger Petrus, Jakobus und Johannes mit auf einen Berg. Dort sahen sie Mich verklärt, d.h. sie sahen Mich mit ihren geistigen Augen als Denjenigen, der Ich eigentlich bin, war und sein werde. Sie sahen Mich vor sich als einen hohen Geist, dessen Kleid, die Wahrheit, in Entsprechung weiss war, und dessen Angesicht leuchtete wie die Sonne, d.h. von Liebe strahlte. Sie sahen daneben zwei mächtige Stützen Meines ganzen zukünftigen Lehrgebäudes, die am meisten dazu beitrugen, Mir Mein Werk zu erleichtern, und die Vorläufer und Wegbereiter waren, – sie sahen Moses und Elias, mit denen Ich redete. Ferner hörten sie aus einer Wolke eine Stimme die Worte sprechen, die einst bei Meiner Taufe am Jordan ebenfalls ertönten: “Dies ist Mein lieber Sohn, an dem Ich Wohlgefallen habe; den sollt ihr hören!”

3. Dieses Gesicht, das den drei Jüngern von Mir zugelassen wurde, hatte den Zweck, ihnen einen Vorgeschmack ihrer eigenen Bestimmung zu geben. Petrus, den Ich den ‘Felsen’ nannte, auf den Ich Meine Kirche bauen wollte, hatte eine ähnliche Aufgabe wie einst Moses, der das jüdische Volk auf Mein Kommen vorbereitete. Er gab ihnen Gesetze und Verhaltungsregeln, die das Judenvolk leichter als jedes andere aufnehmen konnte, um es zu dem auserwählten Volk zu machen, in dessen Mitte Ich Mein Darniederkommen auf eure Erde beschlossen hatte.

4. Wie Elias, nach seiner nochmaligen Einkleidung in die menschliche Form des Johannes des Täufers im Kleinen dasselbe vollzog, was Moses im Grossen bewirken musste, so war Johannes, Mein Liebling, bestimmt – durch sein spezielles Wirken und dadurch, dass gerade er länger am Leben blieb als alle seine übrigen Mitjünger -, noch in seinen letzten Jahren in seiner Offenbarung der Welt ihren geistigen Gang bis zur Läuterung im voraus zu beschreiben und ein Zeugnis zu hinterlassen, dass die Gesetze, die Ich in Meine Schöpfung gelegt habe – seien es moralische oder physische -, nicht mit Füssen getreten werden dürfen.

5. Diesen Jüngern als noch Lebenden und dem Moses und Elias als Verstorbenen wurde es als Zeugen zuteil, Mich in Meiner ganzen Herrlichkeit zu schauen, Mich als Den zu erkennen, für dessen grosses, geistiges Reich sie alles opfern mussten, um die Dauerhaftigkeit Meines Werkes zu begründen.

6. Sie sahen Mich in jener Glorie, die ein menschlich Herz in irdischer Hülle nur auf wenige Augenblicke ertragen kann, und eben diese nie geahnte Seligkeit und Wonne veranlasste Petrus auszurufen: “Herr, hier ist gut sein; willst Du, so wollen wir hier drei Hütten bauen!”

7. Allein, da solche Momente nur als Wecker, Aneiferer und Stärker dienen, wenn Gefahr droht oder Wankelmütigkeit das Herz beschleicht, so waren sie von kurzer Dauer. Damit sie aber in der Erinnerung von nachhaltiger Wirkung blieben, so erschollen noch aus der weissen Wolke, als geistiger Überschattung Meiner Person, jene geheimnisvollen, wichtigen Worte: “Dieses ist Mein lieber Sohn, an dem Ich Wohlgefallen habe; den sollt ihr hören!” Die Stimme riet also Meinen Jüngern, noch mehr auf Meine Rede aufmerksam zu sein, sie recht ins Herz zu prägen, damit aus ihnen, einst des Lebens grünender Baum erwachse, der schirmend unter seinem Schatten die ganze Menschheit versammeln soll, wo diese Schutz um Trutz für alle Leiden und Unbilden finden wird.

8. Dass Ich den Jüngern auftrug, von diesem Ereignis zu schweigen, bis Ich Mein Lehrgebäude mit Meiner Auferstehung gekrönt hätte, hatte darin seinen Grund, weil die anderen Jünger an dem Gesicht gezweifelt oder es nicht verstanden hätten. Auch Meine Jünger, wie alle Menschen, besassen nicht gleiche Fassungsgabe.

9. Dies war der eigentliche Hergang jenes feierlichen Aktes, welcher sich auch jetzt wiederholen muss.

10. Was in jener Zeit Moses war, der das jüdische Volk für Meine Lehre vorbereitete, das ist später ebenfalls durch Petrus als Gründer der katholischen (=allgemeine) Kirche* geschehen. Was Elias als Johannes der Täufer in jener Zeit war, ist in eurer Zeit die Schar der Männer gewesen, welche die von Petrus gegründete Kirche zu reinigen und zu läutern hatten, damit sie den eigentlichen geistigen Wert nicht ganz einbüsse.
(* Dies ist nicht zu verwechseln mit der Institution “Katholische Kirche”! Petrus als der von Jesus berufene Fels führte in des Herrn Auftrag und  Namen die Verbreitung der Jesulehre weiter und ist somit als erster Leiter der Christen zu betrachten. Die Gemeinde zu Rom wurde jedoch von Paulus gegründet (siehe Jakob Lorber – “Robert Blum” Band 1, Kap. 81,2 – hes)

11. Was in jener Zeit Petrus als künftige Stütze Meiner Lehre war, werden jetzt wieder andere Männer werden, die Mein Reich von neuem aufrichten. Und wie das jüdische Volk zu Meiner Zeit durch seine Pharisäer und Schriftgelehrten in die Irre geführt wurde, so lebt jetzt ebenfalls das ganze Menschengeschlecht in Zeremonien und Gebräuchen, lebt in Erfüllung des Buchstabens, ohne den geistigen Sinn der Worte Meines doch so einfachen Evangeliums zu verstehen. Es muss also eben jetzt wieder Männer geben, die Meine Lehre von neuem auf ihre erste Grundlage, auf Meine eigenen Worte zurückführen.

12. Wenn diese berufenen Männer auch nicht gleich siegen werden bei dem Versuch, die ganze Menschheit zu belehren – wie es auch Meinen Jüngern nicht auf einmal gelungen ist -, so sind sie doch bestimmt, den Samen auszustreuen. Ob dieser nun überall auf guten Erdboden oder auf den Weg oder auf steinigen Boden und Felsen fallen wird, das tut nichts zur Sache. Die aufkeimende Saat wird das Verlorengegangene wohl ersetzen und den Geistesboden so vorbereiten, dass er würdig sein wird, Mein Wiederkommen mit Freude zu erwarten.

13. Wie Ich in jener Zeit die Jünger mit Mir auf eine Höhe nahm und ihnen einen kleinen Vorgeschmack des Lohnes gab, welcher ihrer wartet, wenn sie bei Mir treu ausharren, so geschieht es auch heute noch, dass Ich so manchen Mir Ergebenen, der im einsamen Kämmerlein oder bei nächtlicher Stille sich Mir hingibt, ebenfalls weit über die irdische Welt hinaufführte, ihm dort gleich einer grossen Fernsicht die glorreiche Zukunft zeige, welche er zu erwarten hat, wenn er Mir und Meiner Lehre treu bleibt. Ja, Ich lasse manchen sogar die ganze Wonne Meines mächtigen Einflusses auf sein Herz fühlen, wobei Ich ihm der höchsten Wahrheit Schimmer im rosigen Lichte der Liebe zeige und ihm so in herrlicher Verklärung, Mein eigenes Ich kundgebe, ausgedrückt durch eine Seligkeit, welche nicht hier, sondern nur in höheren Sphären in geistiger Umhüllung zu ertragen möglich sein wird.

14. Moses baute im mosaischen Gesetz seine nie umzustossenden Grundsätze der jüdischen Religion auf die einzige Idee: Es gibt nur einen Gott! Und deswegen war das jüdische Volk – und kein anderes geeignet, Mich in Zukunft zu den Seinigen zählen zu können. Denn da in jener Zeit überall Vielgötterei herrschte, so wäre es unmöglich gewesen, alle Götter auf einmal zu entfernen und einen einzigen dafür aufzustellen. Aber bei den Juden bestand der eine Gott; es ging also bei ihnen der Aufbau einer göttlichen Religion leichter von statten.

15. So war Moses der Vorarbeiter, wie ein Arbeiter im Weinberg, der die Erde umgräbt. Nach ihm kam der, welcher die Reben beschneidet, und das war Elias. Er beschnitt in seiner Zeit, und später als Johannes der Täufer nochmals, die Rebenzweige, erregte durch dieses Beschneiden die Tätigkeit, um bessere Früchte zu erzielen, damit dann der Einsammler mit seinen Vorarbeitern zufrieden sei. So war Johannes der Täufer der zweite Arbeiter in Meinem Weinberg, bis Ich selbst kam und die letzte Hand anlegte, das Fehlende ergänzte und die Frucht zur Reife brachte, d.h. aus der um den Stamm der Rebe im Verwesungszustande liegenden Ende neues Leben hervorrief, welches den Stamm entlang sich verfeinernd, von der groben Materie zur höheren, geistigen Frucht, der Traube ausgereift und erzogen wurde.

16. So wie Moses zuvor, war später Petrus der Felsen, auf den Meine Kirche gegründet wurde. Alle Umwälzungen und Stürme konnten sie nicht vernichten. Entstellt ist sie zwar oft genug worden durch die Herrschsucht und Macht einzelner Menschen; aber wie einst vor Meinen Aposteln Meine Verklärung zugelassen wurde, bei der durch Meine irdische Form Meine geistige, göttliche hindurchleuchtete, so geschieht es auch jetzt: Aus dem irdischen Prunk und den Zeremonien des katholischen Kultus und seiner Irrlehren beginnt das geistige Gewand hindurchzuleuchten. Die Klärung und Verklärung beginnt. Aus Nacht wird Dämmerung, aus Dämmerung – Tag!

17. Das Licht der so lange zurückgehaltenen Wahrheit bricht durch. In allen Gemütern lebt die Ahnung einer höheren Extase, einer Verklärung. Alle fühlen den Geisteswind, der durchs Weltliche hindurchströmt und die Eingeschlafenen weckt. Wie wenn ein Lichtstrahl durch einen Fensterladen auf einen Schlafenden fällt und dieser, durch dessen Lebenskraft geweckt, anfängt, sich im Bette herumzuwälzen, und doch nicht weiss, wie ihm geschieht, – so bricht diese Verklärung an. Es dämmert schon in vielen Köpfen.

18. Moses bereitete das mit ihm lebende Judenvolk zu Meinem Empfange vor, Petrus das nach ihm kommende Geschlecht, und die in der Jetztzeit von Meiner Lehre begeisterten Lehrer, welche noch kommen, werden die Johannesse sein, die – wie einst Mein Jünger – auch Meine Lieblinge werden und bis in ihr spätes Alter Zeugen Meiner Liebe, Meiner Gnade sein sollen. So vollzieht sich stets der nämliche geistige Läuterungsprozess, zuerst vom Festen ins Leichtere, dann vom Leichteren ins Flüchtige und vom Flüchtigen ins Luftartige und endlich ins Geistige!

19. Wie Ich in jener Zeit ans Kreuz genagelt, Meine Lehre verhöhnt und Meine Jünger beschimpft und verfolgt wurden, so wird es wieder sein. Statt Meiner Person werden die Menschen Meine Lehre ans Kreuz schlagen und sie verhöhnen. Meine Kämpfer werden ebenfalls mit allerlei Unbilden zu kämpfen haben; aber auch sie werden siegreich hervorgehen und Mich dann bei Meiner nächsten Wiederkunft verklärt erblicken, und die Stimme ihres Gewissens wird ihnen dann zurufen: “Segen euch, weil ihr Diesem treu geblieben, Seine Worte gehört, ausgeübt und auch andern mitgeteilt habt, so, wie Er sie von den Menschen verstanden wissen wollte!”

20. Die Verklärung wird aber dann nicht – wie einst bei Meinen Jüngern – ein Ende haben, sondern Meine Vorkämpfer werden Mich ewig von Angesicht zu Angesicht sehen können, werden mit allen früher Hinübergegangenen sich Meines und ihres Sieges freuen können.

21. Dies ist der entsprechende Sinn der Verklärung. Trachtet auch ihr danach, dass ihr solcher teilhaftig werden möget, damit auch ihr zu jenen gezählt werden könnt, die, alles Weltliche hintansetzend, nur Mich und Meine Lehre zum Hauptzweck ihres Lebens, ihres Strebens gemacht haben! Dann werdet ihr in Momenten der höchsten Wonne, wo eure geistige Sehe geöffnet wird, Den in Person verklärt sehen können, der euch schon so lange mit Seinen Segensworten überhäuft und zu Seinen Kindern machen möchte. Amen.

“Listen to Him!” – The Transfiguration of Jesus

Matthew 17:1-13…
“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, and was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light, and, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you. That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.”

Thus says the Lord…

1. Here again you have an event from My earthly career of a deep and heavenly significance. This event was once important for the disciples who accompanied Me, but it is also significant for you and all mankind and in its spiritual correspondence of great importance for the future into which you are now moving. We will now look at this event, explain its significance for My disciples at that time and then study its great spiritual correspondence to find out how, when and where it is repeating itself today and how it will have the same regenerating effect now as it had once on the three disciples with Me and their further life and actions.

2. The Gospel states that I took My disciples Peter, James and John up a mountain where they saw Me transfigured, that is, they saw Me with their spiritual eyes as the One who I really am, was and shall be. They saw Me as a high spirit whose garment – truth – was in its correspondence white and whose face shone like the sun, that is, it radiated love. At My side they saw two mighty supporters of My entire future system of instruction who contributed most to facilitate My work as My forerunners – Moses and Elias, with whom I was speaking. They also heard a voice from a cloud speaking the same words that had once sounded at My baptism at the river Jordan: “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; listen to him!”

3. This vision which I allowed My three disciples to see was meant to give them a fore taste of their own destination. Peter, whom I called the ‘rock’ upon which I wanted to build My church, had a similar mission to that of Moses who once prepared the Jewish people for My coming. He gave them laws and rules of conduct which for the Jews were easier to accept than for any other race, to make them My chosen people in the midst of which I had decided to come to the earth.

4. As Elias, in his incarnation as John the Baptist, did on a small scale what Moses had to do on a large scale, thus John, My favourite, – thanks to his particular work and the fact that he lived longer than any of the other disciples – was destined through his Revelation during the last years of his life to show to the world in advance its spiritual progress until its purification and to leave behind a testimony to the effect that the laws I have established in My creation – be they moral or physical laws – must not be spurned.

5. These disciples, as still living in this world, and Moses and Elias, who were no longer in the flesh, were allowed to see Me in My great glory and to recognize Me as the One for whose great spiritual kingdom they had to sacrifice everything in order to give My work permanence.

6. They saw Me in that glory which a human heart in its earthly encasement can stand but for a few moments, and it was this unimagined happiness and bliss that caused Peter to exclaim: “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if thou wilt, let us make here three shelters!”

7. However, since such moments only serve as awakeners, animators and fortifiers when danger threatens or fickleness overcomes the heart, they were only of a short duration. But in order to give them a lasting effect in the memory of the disciples, out of the white cloud that spiritually overshadowed My person, these mysterious and important words were heard: “This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased; listen to him!” Thus the voice advised My disciples to pay even better attention to My words and to imprint them properly upon their hearts so that one day the verdant tree of life could grow out of them to assemble all mankind under its shade for shelter and protection in all their sufferings and misfortunes.

8. The reason why I bade the disciples not to speak of this event until I had crowned My work with My resurrection was that the other disciples would have doubted the vision or failed to comprehend it, since My disciples’ power of comprehension varied like that of all other people.

9. Such was the actual course of that solemn event which must repeat itself again today.

10. What once Moses did, who prepared the Jewish people for My teaching, later on came to pass through Peter as the founder of the Catholic Church *. What Elias did as John the Baptist, has been done in your age by all the men who had to cleanse and purify the church Peter had founded, so that it would not lose its actual value altogether.

(* This is not to be confused with the institution “The Roman Catholic Church”! Peter, as the rock appointed by Jesus, continued the spread of the Jesus teachings in the Lord’s name. He can therefore be generally regarded as the first leader of the Christians. The church in Rome, however, was founded by Paul (See Jakob Lorber – “Robert Blum” Volume 1, chap. 81.2 – hes)

11. What once Peter represented as the future sustainer of My teaching, now other men will become, who will re-establish My Kingdom. And as in My days the Jewish people were misled by the Pharisees and scribes, liekewise today all humanitiy is bound by ceremonies and customs, living in the fulfilment of the letter without understanding the spiritual meaning of the words of My so simple Gospel. Therefore, there must again be men who put My teaching back upon its original foundation, upon My own words.

12. Even if these men are not immediately succesful in their attempt to teach all mankind – just as My disciples were not immediately successsful – they are nevertheless called to sow the seed. It does not matter whether the seed falls everywhere upon good soil, or upon the road or stony ground. The germinating seed will replace what was lost and prepare the spiritual ground to make it worthy of looking forward joyfully to My Second Coming.

13. As in those days I took My disciples to an elevated spot, giving them a little fore taste of the reward awaiting them if they faithfully stayed with Me, it happens also today that I lead many a faithful, who in the solitude and stillness of night gives himself over to Me, far beyond the physical world, opening up to him in a great vista the glorious future he may expect if he remains true to Me and My teaching. Indeed, I let many an individual experience the full delight of My mighty influence upon his heart, thereby showing him a glimpse of supreme truth in the rosy light of love, thus revealing to him My own Self in a glorious transfiguration expressed by a delight which here it is not possible to bear, but only in the higher spheres in a spiritual body.

14. In the Mosaic law Moses built his irrevocable principles of the Jewish religion upon the one idea: There is but one God! And because of this the Jewish people – and none other – was suited to count Me among them. Since in those days polytheism prevailed everywhere, it would have been impossible to remove all the gods at once to put up a single one in their place. The Jews, however, had only the one God, which made it easier to build a divine religion among them.

15. Thus Moses was the preparatory worker, like a labourer in the vineyard who breaks up the soil. He was followed by the one who trimmed the vines; and that was Elias. He trimmed the vines during his time and later as John the Baptist, thereby stimulating the activity in order to obtain better fruit so that the harvester may be satisfied with the workers who did the preliminary work. Thus John the Baptist was the second labourer in My vineyard, until I came Myself to put the finishing touches to the work, add what was missing and bring the fruit to maturation. This means that out of the decomposed earth around the stem of the grapevine I called forth new life which, becoming more and more refined along the stem, was matured and trained from gross matter to the finer, spiritual fruit – the grape.

16. As previously Moses, thus later on Peter was the rock upon which My church was founded. No revolutions or storms could destroy it. Often enough it has been perverted through the tyranny and lust for power of individuals. But as once My transfiguration was allowed to take place in the presence of My disciples when My spiritual, divine being shone through My earthly form, so it is happening now: The spiritual garment is beginning to shine through the earthly pomp and ceremonial of the Catholic cult and its false doctrines. The clearing up and tansfiguration is beginning. Night is followed by dawn and dawn by – day!

17. The long restrained light of truth is breaking through. The anticipation of a higher ecstasy, a transfiguration, is alive in all minds, and the spiritual wind, blowing through all that is of the world and awakening the sleepers is sensed by all. Like a ray of light falling through a shutter upon a sleeper who, awakened by its life-force, begins to turn around in his bed unaware of what is happening to him, – thus this transfiguration is starting. In many heads it is already dawning.

18. Moses prepared his contemporary Jewish people for My reception, Peter the generation following him, and in these days the teachers with enthusiasm for My teaching are going to be the Johns who – like My disciple – will also become My favourites and whitnesses of My love and grace right into their old age. Thus the same spiritual process of purification takes place, first from the solid to the softer, from that to the volatile, from the volatile to the ethereal and finally to the spiritual.

19. As in those days I was nailed to the cross, My teaching mocked and My disciples abused and persecuted, so it will be again. Instead of My person, My teaching will be crucified and mocked. My fighters will also have to battle with all kinds of injustices but they, too, will be victorious and see Me transfigured at My next descent. Then the voice of their conscience will proclaim: “Blessed be you because you remained true to Him, listened to His words, applied them and passed them on to others the way He wants them to be understood.”

20. Then the transfiguration will not end – as once with My disciples – but My pioneers will be able to see Me face to face everlastingly and rejoice over My victory and theirs together with all those who passed on before.

21. Such is the symbolical meaning of the transfiguration. Make sure that you, too, may participate in it, so that you may be counted among those who, disregarding all that is of the world, have made Me and My teaching the principal purpose of their life and aspirations. Then, in moments of supreme delight when your spiritual vision is opened, you will be able to see The One in person, tansfigured, Who already for so long has been showering upon you His words of grace and wants to make you His children. Matteo 17, 1-13: «E sei giorni dopo Gesù prese con sé Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni suo fratello e li condusse in disparte, su un alto monte. E fu trasfigurato davanti a loro, ed il suo volto splendeva come il Sole, e le sue vesti candide come la luce. Ed ecco, allora apparvero loro Mosè ed Elia, i quali conversavano con lui. Ma Pietro prese allora la parola e disse a Gesù: “Signore, qui è bene restare; se tu vuoi, allora facciamo qui tre capanne, una per te, una per Mosè e una per Elia”. Egli stava ancora parlando così, quando una nube splendente li avvolse con la sua ombra. Ed ecco una voce parlò dalla nube: “Questi è il Figlio mio prediletto, nel quale mi sono compiaciuto. Ascoltatelo”. All’udire ciò, i discepoli caddero con la faccia a terra e furono presi da gran timore. Ma Gesù si avvicinò a loro, li toccò e disse: “Alzatevi e non temete”. Allora sollevarono gli occhi e non videro più nessuno, se non Gesù solo. E quando scesero dal monte, Gesù ordinò loro: “Non parlate a nessuno di questa visione, finché il Figlio dell’uomo non sarà risorto dai morti”. Ed allora i suoi discepoli gli domandarono: “Perché dunque gli scribi dicono che prima deve venire Elia?”. Gesù rispose e disse loro: “Prima deve venire Elia e ristabilirà ogni cosa. Ma io vi dico: Elia è già venuto ed essi non l’hanno riconosciuto; anzi, hanno fatto di lui come hanno voluto. Così anche il Figlio dell’uomo dovrà soffrire per opera loro”. Allora i discepoli compresero che egli aveva parlato di Giovanni il Battista.»

1. Qui avete di nuovo un episodio tratto dal Mio pellegrinaggio terreno, il quale racchiude in sé qualcosa di profondo e celestiale e, come lo fu un giorno per i Miei discepoli che Mi accompagnavano, così anche per voi e per tutta l’umanità vivente è un avvenimento di somma importanza, e nella sua corrispondenza spirituale è di grande portata per il futuro al quale voi andate incontro. Vogliamo dunque esaminare quest’avvenimento, e spiegare quale significato avesse per quei tempi e per i Miei discepoli, e poi passare alla sua grande corrispondenza spirituale: come, quando e dove nel tempo attuale esso si ripete, e come opererà altrettanto quale atto rigeneratore, lo stesso che operò sui Miei tre discepoli che Mi accompagnavano, e sul loro futuro modo di vivere e sulle loro azioni.

2. Il Vangelo dice che Io presi con Me su un monte i Miei discepoli, Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni. Là essi Mi videro trasfigurato, ossia Mi videro con i loro occhi spirituali come Colui che Io sono veramente, ero e sarò. Mi videro dinanzi a loro come uno Spirito sublime, la cui veste, che simboleggiava la Verità, era bianca, e il volto risplendeva come il Sole, vale a dire raggiante d’Amore. Essi videro inoltre due potenti sostegni del Mio intero futuro edificio dottrinale, che maggiormente contribuirono a facilitare la Mia Opera, e furono precursori e preparatori, – essi videro Mosè ed Elia, con i quali Io parlavo. Udirono inoltre una voce, proveniente da una nube, esprimere le stesse parole che un giorno risuonarono al Mio battesimo nel Giordano: «Questi è il Mio Figlio prediletto, nel quale Io Mi sono compiaciuto; Lui dovete ascoltare!».

3. Tale visione, che fu da Me concessa ai tre discepoli, aveva lo scopo di dar loro un assaggio della propria destinazione. Pietro, che Io chiamai la ‘pietra’, sulla quale volli edificare la Mia Chiesa, aveva un compito simile a quello di Mosè, il quale preparò il popolo ebreo alla Mia Venuta. Egli diede loro leggi e norme di comportamento che il popolo ebreo poteva accogliere più facilmente di qualsiasi altro, per fare di questo popolo, il popolo eletto, in mezzo al quale Io avevo deciso la Mia discesa sulla vostra Terra.

4. Come Elia, nella sua successiva veste nella forma umana di Giovanni il Battista, compì in piccolo la stessa cosa che Mosè dovette realizzare in grande, così Giovanni, il Mio prediletto, attraverso il suo speciale operato e per il fatto che proprio lui restò più a lungo in vita, rispetto ai suoi restanti condiscepoli, era ancora destinato nei suoi ultimi anni a descrivere in anticipo nella sua Rivelazione al mondo il suo cammino spirituale fino alla purificazione, e a lasciare una testimonianza che le leggi che Io ho posto nella Mia Creazione – siano esse morali o fisiche – non potevano essere calpestate.

5. A questi discepoli quali ancora viventi, e a Mosè e ad Elia quali trapassati, toccò, come testimoni, contemplarMi in tutta la Mia gloria, riconoscerMi come Colui, per il Cui grande Regno spirituale essi dovettero sacrificare tutto, per fondare la solidità della Mia Opera.

6. Essi Mi videro in quella gloria che un cuore umano nell’involucro terreno può sopportare solo per pochi attimi, e proprio tale beatitudine e somma gioia, mai immaginate, indussero Pietro ad esclamare: «Signore qui è bene stare; se Tu vuoi, vogliamo fare qui tre capanne!».

7. Ma poiché tali momenti servono solo come risveglio, stimolo e forza, quando il pericolo minaccia o l’incostanza s’insinua di soppiatto nel cuore, così essi furono di breve durata. Tuttavia, affinché lasciassero il loro effetto durevole nei ricordi, allora dalla nube bianca, che spiritualmente offuscava la Mia Persona, echeggiarono quelle importanti parole piene di mistero: «Questi è il Mio Figlio prediletto, nel quale mi sono compiaciuto; Lui dovete ascoltare!». La voce consigliò quindi ai Miei discepoli di essere ancor più attenti ai Miei discorsi, di imprimerseli bene nel cuore, affinché da loro un giorno crescesse l’albero verdeggiante della vita che, sotto la sua ombra, avrebbe dovuto raccogliere l’intera umanità, per darle protezione e conforto da tutte le sofferenze e le ingiustizie.

8. Il fatto che Io imposi ai discepoli di non far parola di quest’avvenimento, finché con la Mia Risurrezione non avessi coronato l’edificio della Mia Dottrina, aveva la sua buona ragione, poiché gli altri discepoli avrebbero dubitato della visione, oppure non l’avrebbero compresa. Anche i Miei discepoli, come tutti gli uomini, non possedevano uguale capacità intellettiva.

9. Questo fu l’andamento vero e proprio di quell’atto solenne, atto che dovrà ripetersi anche adesso.

10. Ciò che in quei tempi era Mosè, il quale preparò il popolo ebreo alla Mia Dottrina, lo stesso è stato più tardi Pietro, quale fondatore della Chiesa cattolica. Ciò che in quei tempi fu Elia, come Giovanni il Battista, lo è stata nella vostra epoca la schiera di quegli uomini che dovettero purificare e nobilitare la Chiesa fondata da Pietro, affinché essa non perdesse completamente il suo vero e proprio valore spirituale.

11. Ciò che fu ai quei tempi Pietro, come futuro pilastro della Mia Dottrina, lo saranno adesso ancora altri uomini che erigono di nuovo il Mio Regno. E come il popolo ebreo ai Miei tempi fu tratto in errore dai suoi scribi e farisei, così altrettanto l’intero genere umano vive adesso nelle cerimonie e nelle usanze, vive nell’adempimento della lettera, senza comprendere il senso spirituale delle parole del Mio così semplice Vangelo. Quindi ci devono essere di nuovo, proprio adesso, uomini che riportino la Mia Dottrina sulle sue originali fondamenta, sulle Mie proprie Parole.

12. Anche se questi uomini chiamati non riusciranno subito nel tentativo di istruire l’intera umanità – come anche i Miei discepoli non riuscirono in una sola volta – essi sono ugualmente destinati a spargere il seme. Non ha importanza se questo ora cadrà su buon terreno, oppure sulla via, o su un terreno pietroso e sulle rocce. Il seme che germoglierà, sostituirà bene ciò che è andato perduto, e preparerà così il terreno spirituale che sarà degno di attendere con gioia il Mio Ritorno.

13. Come Io a quel tempo portai i discepoli con Me su un’altura e diedi loro un piccolo assaggio della ricompensa che li attendeva, se avessero perseverato fedelmente vicino a Me, così accade anche oggi che Io conduca alcuni dei Miei fedeli che si abbandonano a Me, nella solitaria cameretta, oppure nel silenzio della notte, molto lontano e al di sopra del mondo terreno, mostrando loro, come in un immenso panorama, il glorioso futuro che li attende se restano fedeli a Me e alla Mia Dottrina. Sì, Io faccio sentire a più di uno nel suo cuore, perfino tutta la delizia del Mio potente influsso, e gli mostro il raggio della Somma Verità nella rosea Luce dell’Amore, e così gli rivelo il Mio stesso Io nella gloriosa trasfigurazione, manifestata attraverso una beatitudine che qui non è sopportabile, ma soltanto nelle più alte sfere, nell’involucro spirituale.

14. Mosè stabilì nella legge mosaica i principi incontrastabili della religione ebraica su un’unica idea: esiste un solo Dio! E per questa ragione, il popolo ebreo – e nessun altro – era idoneo a poterMi in futuro annoverare tra i suoi. In quell’epoca, infatti, dappertutto dominava il politeismo, così sarebbe stato impossibile rimuovere tutti gli dei in una volta, sostituendoli con un solo Dio. Presso gli ebrei c’era però il Dio Unico; quindi presso di loro era più facile instaurare la struttura di una religione divina.

15. Così Mosè fu il preparatore, come un lavoratore che dissoda il terreno nella vigna. Dopo di lui venne chi taglia le viti, e questi era Elia. Egli tagliò a suo tempo e, più tardi di nuovo come Giovanni il Battista, i tralci, provocando con questa potatura l’attività delle viti per ottenere frutti migliori, così che poi il raccoglitore fosse soddisfatto con i suoi preparatori. Così Giovanni il Battista fu il secondo operaio nella Mia vigna, finché venni Io stesso e misi l’ultima mano, integrai il mancante e portai i frutti a maturazione, cioè provocai nuova vita dalla terra in stato di decomposizione che circondava il tralcio della vite, ed esso, affinandosi, venne trasformato da materia grossolana in più nobile frutto spirituale, e divenne uva.

16. Così come Mosè in precedenza, più tardi fu Pietro, la roccia sulla quale fu fondata la Mia Chiesa. Tutti gli sconvolgimenti e le tempeste non poterono distruggerla. Essa è stata spesso deturpata dalla sete di dominio e di potere di singoli uomini; ma come un giorno fu concessa la Mia trasfigurazione davanti ai Miei apostoli, nella quale la forma spirituale divina risplendeva attraverso la Mia forma terrena, così accade anche adesso: dallo sfarzo terreno e dalle cerimonie del culto cattolico e dalle sue eresie, comincia a risplendere la veste spirituale. Lo schiarimento e la trasfigurazione iniziano. Dalla notte viene l’alba, dall’alba – il giorno!

17. La luce della Verità, così a lungo repressa, si apre un varco. In tutti gli animi vive il presentimento di un’estasi più elevata, di una trasfigurazione. Tutti sentono il vento spirituale che soffia attraverso le cose terrene e risveglia i dormienti. Come quando un raggio di luce penetra attraverso un’imposta delle finestre e cade su un dormiente e, costui, risvegliato dalla sua forza vitale, comincia a rigirarsi nel letto, e tuttavia non sa quello che gli accade intorno, così ha inizio questa trasfigurazione. Già albeggia in molte teste.

18. Mosè preparò alla Mia Venuta il popolo ebreo che viveva con lui, Pietro il genere umano che veniva dopo di lui e, nell’epoca attuale, gli insegnanti estasiati della Mia Dottrina che ancora verranno, saranno i Giovanni, i quali – come un giorno i Miei discepoli – diverranno anche Miei prediletti, e fin nella loro tarda età, dovranno essere testimoni del Mio Amore e della Grazia Mia. Così avviene sempre il medesimo processo di purificazione spirituale, inizialmente dal solido al leggero, poi dal leggero al transitorio e dal transitorio all’etereo, e infine allo spirituale!

19. Come a quei tempi Io fui inchiodato sulla croce, la Mia Dottrina schernita e i Miei discepoli insultati e perseguitati, così sarà di nuovo. Invece della Mia persona, gli uomini inchioderanno sulla croce la Mia Dottrina e la scherniranno. I miei combattenti dovranno pure lottare contro ogni sorta di iniquità, però anch’essi riporteranno la vittoria, e alla Mia prossima venuta Mi vedranno trasfigurato, e la voce della loro coscienza esclamerà poi: “Benedetti voi, perché siete rimasti fedeli a quest’Amore; avete ascoltato, praticato e comunicato anche ad altri le Sue parole, così come Lui voleva che fossero comprese dagli uomini!”.

20. Questa trasfigurazione non cesserà poi così presto, come fu il caso dei Miei discepoli, bensì i Miei combattenti potranno vederMi in eterno, faccia a faccia, e potranno gioire della Mia e della loro vittoria con tutti coloro che li hanno preceduti nell’Aldilà.

21. Questo è il senso corrispondente della trasfigurazione! Aspirate anche voi ad essa, in modo da divenirne partecipi, affinché possiate essere anche voi annoverati tra coloro che, posponendo tutto il mondano, hanno fatto di Me e della Mia Dottrina, lo scopo principale della loro vita e delle loro aspirazioni! Allora, nei momenti di estasi sublime in cui vi sarà aperta la vista spirituale, potrete contemplare, trasfigurato nella Persona, Colui che già da tanto tempo vi colma con le Sue Parole di Grazia, e vorrebbe far di voi i figli Suoi. – Amen!
