Da aber Johannes im Gefängnis die Werke Christi hörte, sandte er seiner Jünger zwei und ließ ihm sagen: “Bist du, der da kommen soll, oder sollen wir eines andern warten?” Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: “Gehet hin und saget Johannes wieder, was ihr sehet und höret: Die Blinden sehen und die Lahmen gehen, die Aussätzigen werden rein und die Tauben hören, die Toten stehen auf und den Armen wird das Evangelium gepredigt; und selig ist, der sich nicht an mir ärgert!” – Alle Dinge sind mir übergeben von meinem Vater. Und niemand kennet den Sohn denn nur der Vater; und niemand kennet den Vater denn nur der Sohn, und wem es der Sohn will offenbaren. Kommet her zu mir alle, die ihr mühselig und beladen seid, ich will euch erquicken! Nehmet auf euch mein Joch und lernet von mir, denn ich bin sanftmütig und von Herzen demütig; so werdet ihr Ruhe finden für eure Seelen! Denn mein Joch ist sanft und meine Last ist leicht.

1. Als in jener Zeit Johannes im Gefängnis saß, schickte er einige seiner Jünger zu Mir, und ließ Mich fragen, ob Ich derjenige sei, welcher als der verheißene Messias kommen solle, um die Völker von ihrem materiellen Druck zu befreien und sie zur geistigen Würde zu erheben, deretwegen die Menschen eigentlich geschaffen wurden, – oder ob er auf einen andern warten solle.

2. Diese Frage, ob Ich eigentlich derjenige sei, von dem die Propheten weissagten, ist auch jetzt wieder in den Gemütern, die nicht recht im klaren mit sich selbst sind, aufgetaucht. Sie haben wohl eine leise Ahnung von einem künftigen geistigen Zustand, der die alten herkömmlichen Religionsgewohnheiten zum Teil vernichten wird und zum Teil auf ihr rechtes Maß zurückführen soll.

3. Deswegen schicken auch sie ihre Jünger und lassen fragen: “Bist Du derjenige, der da kommen soll, oder müssen wir auf einen andern warten?”

4. Diese Jünger oder Anhänger der eigentlichen, wahren Religionslehre sind noch befangen von den ihnen von Jugend an eingeprägten Religionsgrundsätzen, die nicht immer Meine Lehre ins rechte Licht stellten und, vermischt mit Gebräuchen, den Gläubigen stets zum Schwanken brachten.

5. Diese Jünger oder Männer, welche sich an die Spitze der Religions- und Glaubensbewegungen gestellt haben, sind noch nicht frei von Vorurteilen. Sie fragen in ihrem Innern bei Mir an: ‘Handeln wir so recht oder nicht?’ Und Ich, der Ich jetzt durch Meine Knechte die Lehre, wie Ich sie einst gab, wiedergegeben habe, und noch fortwährend erläutere, sage ihnen: Seht Meine Taten; seht Meine Kinder, wie sie die Gottes und Menschenliebe auffassen; seht, welche Willenskraft in einzelnen Wunder wirkt, nicht wie einst durch Meine eigene Hand, aber doch so, daß sie in vielen Fällen eure Gelehrten und Doktoren zuschanden machen werden.

6. Auch damals sagte Ich: “Ihr seid wie die Kinder! Ihr habt gepfiffen, und eure Gespielen wollten nicht tanzen; ihr habt geklagt, und sie wollten nicht weinen!” Und jetzt sage Ich wieder: ,Ihr Unmündigen glaubt und hofft, die Menschen werden euren Führern folgen, und ihr werdet das Gegenteil sehen! Ihr Menschen nebst euren Führern werdet klagen und doch niemandem Tränen entlocken oder Mitleid erwecken können!`

7. Ja, wie einst, so ist es auch jetzt und wird es stets sein: Dem Himmelreich muß Gewalt angetan werden! Es muß mit Gewalt der alte Adam verdrängt und mit festem Willen der neue angezogen werden, sonst ist alles Reformierenwollen umsonst. Mittelwege einschlagen und teilweise Meine Lehre, teilweise Gebräuche veralteter Institutionen gebrauchen wollen, geht nicht an. Ich bin ein Geist, und wer Mich anbeten will, muß Mich im Geist und in der Wahrheit anbeten. Mit Wahrheit anbeten heißt: mit unerschütterlichem Vertrauen – mit Gewalt! Und wer mit Gewalt den Himmel ergreift, dessen Eigentum wird er auch sein.

8. Die Menschen von damals und die Menschen von heute hatten und haben eine irrige Idee von Johannes, Meinem Vorgänger, und von Mir selbst. Johannes glaubten sie zu finden, wie sie selbst waren, nach ihren weltlichen Begriffen. Mich stellten sie sich ebenfalls vor als einen die weltlichen Verhältnisse Verbessernden. Jedem Vorgänger und ernsten Kämpfer für Meine Lehre wird es ergehen wie dem Johannes; er wird ebensowenig begriffen werden wie Ich, der Ich schon in dieser Meiner Lehre mehrere Jahre hindurch unter euch weile, mittelbar und unmittelbar Mich euch kundgebend durch Meine Schreiber und Knechte.

9. Überall möchten die Menschen, wenn sie auch von Meiner Lehre etwas wissen oder neuerdings erfahren, dieselbe dem Leben so anpassen, daß es keiner Aufopferung, keiner Verleugnung bedarf, um Meine Jünger, Meine Kinder zu werden.

10. Was Ich einst über die Stadt Judas sagte, gilt auch heute noch für die großen Hauptstädte eurer Erde. Dort, wo die größte Aufklärung walten sollte, herrscht die größte Finsternis, und in jenen Städten, wo Ich Mich den Menschen direkt kundgebe, dort nimmt man am wenigsten Notiz von Mir, wie einst in Kana, wo Ich das erste öffentliche Wunder wirkte.

11. Ihr seht, daß ein Jahrtausend verflossen ist, aber die Menschen stets die nämlichen geblieben sind.

12. Einst sagte Ich: “Mich, den Sohn, kennt nur der Vater, und den Vater kennt allein der Sohn.” Und auch jetzt muß Ich leider ebenfalls sagen: “Mich, die mit Weisheit tätige Liebe, kennt nur allein die Gottesliebe im höchsten Sinn.”

13. Die Menschen möchten Mich finden, doch verstehen sie nicht zu suchen. Noch sind Führer und Geführte befangen, noch hängt ihnen, wie einst Moses, eine dreifache Decke über den Augen, und wenn Ich sie auch lüften möchte, wenn Ich auch rufe: “Kommet her, ihr alle, die ihr beladen seid, auf daß Ich euch erquicke!”, so verstehen sie diesen Ruf nicht. Sie kennen des Hirten Stimme noch nicht, sie sind verirrte Schafe, die erst nach langem Herumtappen im Finstern zum Licht der Liebe, der Wahrheit und des freien Bewußtseins gelangen werden.

14. Auch jetzt wird es so sein, wie Ich einst sagte: “Den Hochmütigen wird vorenthalten werden, was den Unmündigen, mit dem Herzen Suchenden geoffenbart wird!”

15. Alle Reformer, die sich jetzt an die Spitze der Gläubigen gestellt haben, welche ein besseres geistiges Los ahnen, werden so manches von ihren Lieblingsansichten fahren lassen müssen wie ihre Nachfolger. Sie werden noch manches Bittere durchzumachen haben, bis sie Mein Wort von damals begreifen, welches heißt: “Mein Joch ist sanft, und Meine Bürde ist leicht!” Lernt von Mir die Demut, die Sanftmut und die Nächstenliebe oder in religiöser Hinsicht die Toleranz, so werdet ihr Ruhe finden für eure Seele und auch fähig werden, anderen diese Ruhe zu geben, die ihnen jetzt noch mangelt.

16. So wie dort vor Meinen Lehrjahren sich alle diese Ereignisse zutrugen und Johannes als Vorläufer in der Wüste predigte, so ist es auch jetzt, ehe Mein wirkliches Darniederkommen erfolgt. Meine direkte Kundgebung an einzelne ist wieder Mein Vorläufer.

17. Der geistige Wind bläst. Er kommt von Meinen Himmeln, um eure mit allerlei schlechten Dünsten geschwängerte geistige Luft zu reinigen. Dieser geistige Wind ist der Erwecker, Läuterer und Träger einer neuen Ära, damit die Menschheit ihrem geistigen Ziele nähergebracht werde und endlich begreife, was Religion im geistigen Sinne bedeutet, was es heißt: Mich im Geist und in der Wahrheit anbeten.

18. Noch immer klammern sich die Menschen an Zeremonien und Gebräuche, – ein Zeichen, daß sie selbst noch sehr materiell sind, nur Materielles wünschen und verstehen.

19. Wenn die Menschen erst geistig gebildet sein werden, wenn sie erkennen werden, daß Ich als Geist kein materielles Mittel brauche, um von ihnen verstanden zu werden, wenn sie einsehen werden, was eigentlich Geist und geistige Bildung heißt, dann werden sie begreifen, wie weit sie vom rechten Weg abgekommen sind. Sie nötigten Mich zu dem Ausruf, daß nur Ich als Sohn den Vater kenne und Er Mich. Dabei lehrte Ich einst körperlich auf Erden, wie diese Erkenntnis auch euch Menschen, die ihr doch alle einen Funken Meines göttlichen Ichs in eurem Herzen tragt, welcher euch stets zur Vereinigung mit Mir antreibt, gegeben werden könne.

20. Alle diese nun folgenden Erklärungen der im christlichen Kirchenjahr festgesetzten Sonntagsevangelien werden euch zeigen, wie die geistige Bildung der Menschheit stufenartig nach und nach vor sich geht. Die Erklärungen werden euch zeigen, wie ihr selbst, schon längst in diesem geistigen Strom mit fortgerissen, dem Weg der Aufklärung entgegengeht, um das zu werden, wozu Ich euch geschaffen, erzogen und bestimmt habe.

21. Wacht auf, Meine Kinder! Verschließt eure Ohren nicht den Worten des Predigers in der Wüste, den Diktaten, die Ich euch in solcher Fülle schicke! Wacht auf, und höret die himmlischen Harmonien, die von oben herabgesandt werden, um euch zu beweisen, daß ihr – geistigen Ursprungs – ein anderes Ziel und eine andere Aufgabe habt, als nur im Weltlichen zu leben!

22. Es bläst der geistige Wind und durchzieht alle Herzen; und wenn auch Tausende sein Tönen nicht verstehen, so seid doch ihr nicht taub, die ihr seine Bewegung und seinen Zweck deuten könnt! Wacht auf, werft das Weltliche weit hinter euch! Ihr seid Geister, Bewohner einer andern, größeren, unendlichen, ewigen Welt! Vergeßt nicht, daß dieses Erdenleben, das so flüchtig an euch vorübereilt, ein Probe, – ein Prüfungsleben ist! Der größere, ja größte Teil harrt euer dort, wo ewig keine Sonne mehr untergeht, wo die Nacht verbannt ist und nur Licht, gleichbedeutend mit Liebe, als Erreger das ganze himmlische Gebiet durchdringt.

23. Laßt euch raten, jene Worte des Evangeliums, die Ich einst vor mehr als tausend Jahren ausgesprochen habe, in ihrem höchsten, geistigen Sinne zu deuten und zu fassen! Sie enthalten Meine ganze Vaterliebe zu Meinen Kindern.

24. Schon damals wollte Ich dem Judenvolk beweisen, welche Liebe ein Schöpfer als Vater haben kann und auch haben muß; allein sie verstanden Mich nicht. Und jetzt – leider muß Ich es bekennen -, jetzt verstehen Mich die Menschen im ganzen noch weniger.

25. Einst rief Ich ihnen zu: “Mein Joch ist sanft”, – und heute sage Ich es wieder: “Wie kann denn ein Joch der Liebe anders sein als sanft, wie die Last leichter, als wenn Liebe sie tragen hilft?”

26. Begreift es wohl! Laßt die Welt, sie kann euch nur auf Augenblicke ergötzen, nie aber auf die Länge befriedigen; denn mit dem Besitz eines weltlichen Gutes hört die Hoffnung auf, es zu erlangen! Nicht aber so im Geistigen!

27. Mein Reich ist unendlich. Der geistige Besitz hat keine Grenzen und keine Schranken; daher ist das ewige Fortschreiten möglich. Mit jeder Stufe ist ein größerer Genuß, mit jeder Stufe größere Kraft und größere Fähigkeit zu erreichen.

28. Während im Weltlichen immer erst Verhältnisse und Umstände zusammentreffen müssen, um ein Erwünschtes zu erreichen, bietet der geistige Fortschritt immer Gelegenheit, vorwärtszugehen. Während im Weltlichen das meiste von andern abhängt, ist im Geistigen euer Inneres die größte Fundgrube, wo alle Schätze einer unendlichen, geistigen Welt verborgen liegen. Es ist euer Inneres, worin Ich Mich als Vater, als Sohn und als höchster Geist kundgeben kann, von welcher Kundgebung euer Friede und eure Ruhe abhängt, und wodurch ihr sodann alle Mißhelligkeiten des Lebens nicht als Strafen, sondern nur als weise und nötige Prüfungen ansehen lernt und den Satz erst ganz begreifen werdet: “Kommet her zu Mir, die ihr beladen seid!” Die Liebe, die ewige, unendliche Liebe eines himmlischen Vaters hat euch diese Last zwar aufgeladen, – aber Er hilft sie euch auch tragen.

29. Die Leiden und Mißgeschicke des menschlichen Lebens sind dann keine Plagen, sondern nur Segnungen eines Vaters, der Seine Kinder nicht zu weltlichen Herren, sondern zu geistigen Vorkämpfern Seiner Liebelehre hier und einst in jenem Reich ohne Ende machen möchte.

30. Dies nehmt alles wohl zu Herzen! Das Endresultat wird euch gewiß beweisen, was am Ende des Evangeliums (Matthäus 11, 30) steht: “Denn Mein Joch ist sanft, und Meine Last ist leicht.” Amen.

Matthew 11:2-6…
“Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another: Jesus answered and said unto them. Go and shew John again those tings which ye do hear and see: The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.”
Matthew 11:27-30: “All things are delivered unto me of my Father; and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, und I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

1. When John was in prison he sent some of his disciples to Me to ask whether I was the promised Messiah, who was to liberate the people from oppression and raise them to that spiritual dignity for which they had actually been created, – or whether he had to wait for another.

2. This question, whether I am actually the one about whom the prophets had spoken, has again arisen in the minds of those who lack a clear understanding. They slightly suspect a future spiritual state, by which the old, traditional religious customs will be partly abolished and partly reduced to their proper measure.

3. That is why they, too, are sending their disciples that they may ask: “Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?”

4. These disciples or adherents of the actual, true religious teaching are still prejudiced by the religious principles impressed upon them since their childhood, which sometimes misrepresent My teaching and, together with the ceremonies, have always been confusing for the believer.

5. These men or disciples, who are the leaders of religious movements, are not yet free from prejudices. They are asking Me within their hearts: “Are we doing the right thing or not?” And I, who am now through My servants presenting the teaching as I once did and keep on explaining it, say to them: “Look at what I am doing. See how My children unterstand the love of God and their neighbour. See the miracles that willpower works in some individuals, not like once through My own hand, but in a way that in many cases will confound your scholars and physicians.”

6. At that time I said: “You are like children! You have piped and your playmates did not want to dance; you have mourned and they did not want to lament!” And now I am again saying: “In your childish minds you believe and hope that men will follow your leaders, but you shall see the contrary! You men will be mourning together with your leaders, but you will be unable to draw tears from anyone, nor awaken any pity!”

7. As it was once, it is also today and shall always be: The Kingdom of Heaven must suffer force! With force the old Adam must be driven out and the new one put on with a firm will, otherwise all efforts at reform are futile. A compromise, partly to adhere to My teaching and partly to rites of obsolete institutions, will not work. I am a spirit, and he who wants to worship Me must do so in spirit and in truth. To worship with truth means: with unshakable faith – with force. And whoever seizes heaven with force shall also take possession of it.

8. Men had then and have still now a wrong idea of John, My forerunner, and of Me. They saw John from their own, worldly viewpoint and thus they looked upon Me as one who would improve the worldly conditions. And every forerunner and earnest fighter for My teaching will fare as did John; he will be understood as little as I am who have been among you with My teaching already for some years, revealing Myself to you directly and indirectly through My scribes and servants.

9. People everywhere, even if they know My teaching or are now getting to know it, want to adapt it to life in such a way that no sacrifice or self-abnegation is needed in order to become My disciples, My children.

10. What I once said about the city of Judah applies still today to the great cities of your earth. Where there should be the greatest englightenment, there reigns the greatest darkness. And in those cities where I reveal Myself directly to the people, I am ignored most of all, just as once in Cana where I performed the first miracle in public.

11. Although over a thousand years have passed, mankind has remained the same.

12. I once said: “No man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son.” And I regret to have to say also now: “Only the divine love knows in its highest sense Me, the love that is active in unison with wisdom.”

13. Men want to find Me, but do not know how to seek. Both, those who lead and those who are being led are still prejudiced and, like Moses, they have a threefold cover over their eyes. And even if I want to lift it and call to them: “Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest!” – they do not understand My call. They do not yet know the voice of their shepherd and are like lost sheep that shall reach the light of love, truth and full awareness only after a lengthy groping in the dark.

14. What I once said will apply also today: “These things will be hidden from the wise and prudent, but revealed to the simple who seek with their heart.”

15. All the reformers now leading the believers and hoping for better spiritual conditions will have to relinquish many of their pet ideas, and so will their followers. They will have to go through many a bitter experience until they comprehend the words I once spoke: “My yoke is easy and My burden is light!” Learn from Me meekness, gentleness and the love of your fellowmen or, where religion is concerned, tolerance, then you will find peace of mind and be able to pass this peace on also to others who still lack it.

16. As at that time, prior to My years of ministry, all these things took place and John preached in the desert as My forerunner, it is now too – prior to My actual coming. My forerunner is again My direct revelation to individuals.

17. The spiritual wind is blowing. It comes from My heavens in order to cleanse your spiritual atmosphere, which is heavy with all kinds of evil vapours. This spiritual wind is the awakener, purifier and carrier of a new age, so that mankind can be brought closer to its spiritual destination and finally comprehend the meaning of religion in its spiritual sense and what it means to worship Me in spirit and in truth.

18. Men are still sticking to ceremonies and rites – a sign that they are still very material, that they desire and understand only that which is material.

19. Only when they will be spiritually educated and recognize that I, as a spirit, do not need material expedients in order to be understood by them, when they will realize what spirit and spiritual education actually mean, only then will they also realize how far they have strayed from the right path. They were responsible for My words that only I as the Son knew the Father and He Me, although I once personally taught on earth how this knowledge could also be given to you humans, all of whom carry a spark of My divine Self in your hearts, which keeps urging you towards becoming one with Me.

20. All the now following explanations of the gospels for each Sunday of the ecclesiastical year will show you how mankind’s spiritual education advances in stages and how you yourselves, carried by the spiritual current, have already for quite some time been walking towards the road of enlightenment in order to become that for which I have created, educated and destined you.

21. Awake, My children! Do not close your ears to the voice crying in the wilderness, to the dictations which I am giving you in such abundance! Awake and listen to the celestial harmonies that are sent to you from on high to prove to you that you are of spiritual origin and have a different destination and mission than to live merely in that which is of the world.

22. The spiritual wind is blowing through all the hearts; and if thousands do not understand its sound, you who can explain its movements and its purpose should not be deaf. Awake, throw all worldly things far behind you! You are spirits, inhabitants of another, greater, infinite, everlasting world! Do not forget that this transient life on earth is only a trial life! The greater, indeed the greatest, part is awaiting you in a world where the sun no longer sets, where night is banned and only light, equivalent to love, permeates all heavenly spheres as a stimulator.

23. Let Me advise you to interpret and comprehend those words of the gospel which I spoke more than a thousand years ago in their highest spiritual sense. They hold My entire fatherly love for My children.

24. Already at that time I wanted to prove to the Jewish people what love a Creator as a Father can and must have. However, they did not understand Me. And now – I must admit – mankind on the whole understands Me even less.

25. Once I exclaimed: “My yoke is easy!” – and I repeat this also today: “How can a yoke of love be other than easy, and must not a burden be lighter if love helps to carry it?”

26. Make sure you understand this! Let be the world, it can give you pleasure only for moments, but it can never satisfy you for any length of time. For with the gaining of some worldly possession the pleasure of anticipation ceases. This is not the case in the spiritual world.

27. My Kingdom is infinite. Spiritual possession has no limits and, therefore, everlasting progress is possible. With every stage greater enjoyment, greater power and greater ability is attained.

28. Whilst in material things certain conditions and circumstances are needed to achieve a desired success, spiritual progress offers at all times the opportunity to advance. Whilst in worldly things we are mainly dependent on others, in the spiritual your own innermost being is the greatest storehouse where all the treasures of an infinite world of the spirit are lying concealed. It is within you that I can reveal Myself as the Father, as the Son and as the Supreme Spirit. On this revelation depend your peace and equanimity and, thanks to it, you learn to regard all the troubles in your life not as punishment but as wise and necessary trials. Then you begin to fully comprehend the words: “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden!” Love, a heavenly Father’s everlasting, infinite love, has put this burden upon you, but it also helps you carry it.

29. Then the suffering and troubles of temporal life are no longer misery, but blessings from a Father Who does not want to make of His children worldly masters, but spiritual pioneers for His teaching of love – already here and one day in that everlasting kingdom.

30. Do take all of this to heart! The ultimate achievement will prove to you the final words of this chapter of the Gospel (Matthew 11:30): “For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light!” Amen.

Matteo 11, 2-6; 27-30: «Giovanni intanto, che era in carcere, avendo sentito parlare delle opere del Cristo, mandò a dirgli per mezzo dei suoi discepoli: “Sei tu colui che deve venire o dobbiamo attenderne un altro?”. Gesù rispose: “Andate e riferite a Giovanni ciò che voi udite e vedete: “I ciechi ricuperano la vista, gli storpi camminano, i lebbrosi sono guariti, i sordi riacquistano l’udito, i morti risuscitano, ai poveri è predicata la buona novella, e beato colui che non si scandalizza di Me!”. – Tutto mi è stato dato dal Padre mio; nessuno conosce il Figlio se non il Padre, e nessuno conosce il Padre se non il Figlio e colui al quale il Figlio lo vuole rivelare. Venite a me, voi tutti che siete affaticati e oppressi, ed io vi ristorerò. Prendete il mio giogo sopra di voi e imparate da me che sono mite e umile di cuore, e troverete ristoro per le vostre anime. Il mio giogo, infatti, è dolce e il mio carico leggero”.»

1. In quel tempo, trovandosi Giovanni in prigione, mandò alcuni suoi discepoli da Me, i quali mi domandarono se non fossi Io Colui che doveva venire, quale il promesso Messia, per liberare i popoli dalla loro oppressione materiale e innalzarli alla dignità spirituale – per la qual ragione gli uomini furono effettivamente creati – oppure se egli avrebbe dovuto attenderne un altro.

2. Questa domanda, se sia effettivamente Io, Colui del quale profetizzarono i profeti, emerge di nuovo in quegli animi che non hanno chiarezza in se stessi. Essi hanno ben un lieve presentimento di una futura condizione spirituale, che in parte distruggerà le antiche abitudini religiose, e in parte le riporterà alla loro giusta dimensione.

3. Per questa ragione anch’essi mandano i loro discepoli e fanno domandare: «Sei Tu Colui che deve venire, oppure dobbiamo attenderne un altro?».

4. Questi discepoli, o seguaci dell’autentica, vera dottrina religiosa, sono ancora pieni di preconcetti dei principi religiosi inculcati loro dalla giovinezza, i quali non sempre mettono nella giusta luce il Mio Insegnamento e, mescolati a cerimonie, li portano spesso a vacillare.

5. Questi discepoli, o uomini, che si sono messi a capo di movimenti religiosi e di fede, non sono ancora liberi da pregiudizi. Essi, nel loro interiore, Mi domandano: “Agiamo noi così nel modo giusto, o no?”. E Io, che adesso ho ridato la Dottrina attraverso i Miei servitori come la diedi un giorno e ancora continuerò a spiegarla, dico loro: “Guardate le Mie opere! Guardate i Miei figli come intendono l’amore per Dio e per gli uomini! Guardate, quale forza di volontà opera in particolari miracoli! E non come un giorno, per opera della Mia stessa mano, ma in modo tale che in molti casi essi frustrano dottori e scienziati!”.

6. Anche allora Io dissi: «Voi siete come fanciulli! Avete fischiettato, e i vostri compagni di gioco non vollero ballare! Vi siete lamentati, ed essi non vollero piangere!». E ora Io dico di nuovo: “Voi immaturi! Credete e sperate che gli uomini seguiranno le vostre conduzioni? Vedrete invece il contrario! Voi uomini, con le vostre conduzioni, vi lamenterete, e tuttavia non riuscirete a strappare una lacrima a nessuno, né a destare alcuna compassione!”.

7. Sì, come un giorno, così è anche adesso, e lo sarà sempre: al Regno dei Cieli dovrà esser fatta violenza! Il vecchio Adamo dovrà essere soppresso con violenza, e il nuovo, attirato con salda volontà, altrimenti ogni proposito di riforma sarà inutile. Voler imboccare vie di mezzo e servirsi in parte della Mia Dottrina e in parte delle cerimonie di istituzioni antiquate, non è possibile! Io sono uno Spirito, e chi Mi vuole adorare, Mi deve adorare in Spirito e in Verità! Adorare in verità significa: con fiducia incrollabile – con violenza! E chi afferra con violenza il Cielo, farà del Cielo anche la sua proprietà.

8. Gli uomini di allora e gli uomini d’oggi avevano e hanno un’idea sbagliata di Giovanni, il Mio precursore, e di Me stesso. Essi credevano di trovare Giovanni uguale a loro stessi, secondo i loro concetti mondani. Immaginavano anche Me come Uno che avrebbe migliorato le condizioni del mondo. A ogni precursore e serio combattente per la Mia Dottrina andrà come a Giovanni; egli sarà poco compreso, altrettanto come lo fui Io, che in questo Mio insegnamento già da parecchi anni dimoro fra voi, manifestandoMi a voi direttamente e, indirettamente, attraverso i Miei scrivani e servitori.

9. Ovunque gli uomini, quando sanno qualcosa della Mia Dottrina, oppure la conoscono di recente, vorrebbero adattarla alla vita, in modo che non occorra nessun sacrificio, nessuna rinuncia per divenire Miei discepoli, figli Miei.

10. Ciò che Io un giorno dissi della città di Giuda, vale anche oggi per le grandi metropoli della vostra Terra. Là dove dovrebbe regnare la più grande chiarezza, impera la più grande tenebra; e in quelle città dove Io Mi faccio conoscere direttamente agli uomini, lì meno di tutto si presta attenzione a Me, come un giorno a Cana, dove Io operai il primo miracolo pubblico.

11. Voi vedete che sono trascorsi quasi due millenni, ma gli uomini sono sempre rimasti gli stessi.

12. Un giorno Io dissi: «Solo il Padre conosce Me, il Figlio, e il Padre Lo conosce solo il Figlio». E anche adesso devo purtroppo dire altrettanto: “Solo l’Amore di Dio nel senso più alto conosce Me, l’Amore operante con la Sapienza”.

13. Gli uomini vorrebbero trovarMi, ma non sanno cercare. Le guide e i guidati sono ancora pieni di pregiudizi; ancora, come un giorno a Mosè, è attaccata loro una tripla coltre sugli occhi; e se Io la volessi anche sollevare un poco, anche se chiamassi: «Venite qua, voi tutti che siete oppressi, affinché Io vi ristori!», ecco, essi non comprenderebbero questa chiamata. Essi non conoscono ancora la Voce del Pastore, sono pecorelle smarrite che giungeranno alla Luce dell’Amore, della Verità e della libera consapevolezza, solo dopo un lungo brancolare nelle tenebre.

14. Anche adesso sarà così, come dissi un giorno: «Agli arroganti sarà nascosto ciò che è rivelato ai piccoli che cercano col cuore!».

15. Tutti i riformatori che si sono posti a capo dei credenti, che intuiscono un miglior destino spirituale, dovranno abbandonare parecchio delle loro opinioni predilette, così come i loro seguaci. Essi dovranno provare ancora parecchie amarezze, finché comprenderanno la Mia Parola di allora, che dice: «Il mio giogo è dolce, e il mio carico è leggero!». Imparate da Me l’Umiltà, la Dolcezza d’animo e l’Amore per il prossimo, ovvero, in senso religioso, la Tolleranza, così troverete la quiete per la vostra anima e sarete anche capaci di dare agli altri questa quiete che adesso ancora manca loro.

16. Come tutti questi fatti accaddero prima dei Miei anni di predicazione, e Giovanni come precursore predicava nel deserto, così è anche adesso, prima che abbia luogo la Mia reale venuta. La Mia diretta comunicazione rivolta a singoli è di nuovo il Mio precursore.

17. Tira il vento spirituale. Esso proviene dai Miei Cieli per purificare la vostra aria spirituale satura di ogni genere di cattive esalazioni. Questo vento spirituale è il destatore, purificatore e portatore di una nuova Era, affinché l’umanità possa essere avvicinata alla sua meta spirituale, e comprenda finalmente che cosa significhi religione in senso spirituale, che cosa significhi: adorarMi in Spirito e in Verità.

18. Ancor sempre gli uomini si aggrappano a cerimonie e usanze – un segno che essi sono ancora molto materialisti, desiderano e comprendono solo cose materiali.

19. Solo quando gli uomini si saranno formati spiritualmente, quando riconosceranno che Io, come Spirito, non ho bisogno di mezzi materiali per essere compreso da loro, quando sapranno cosa significhi veramente Spirito e formazione spirituale, allora comprenderanno fino a che punto si sono allontanati dalla retta via. Essi Mi costringono all’esclamazione che: solo Io, Quale Figlio, conosco il Padre, ed Egli conosce Me! Ciò nonostante Io un giorno lo insegnai fisicamente sulla Terra, come questa conoscenza potrebbe esser data anche a voi uomini, che pur portate tutti nel vostro cuore una Scintilla del Mio Io divino, la quale vi spinge continuamente all’unione con Me.

20. Tutte queste spiegazioni ora seguenti dei Vangeli domenicali, stabiliti nell’anno ecclesiastico cristiano, vi mostreranno come la formazione spirituale dell’umanità avverrà un po’ alla volta, gradualmente. Le spiegazioni vi faranno vedere, come voi stessi, già da lungo tempo trascinati in questo torrente spirituale, andiate incontro alla via della chiarezza, per divenire ciò per cui Io vi ho creato, educati e destinati.

21. Risvegliatevi, figli Miei! Non chiudete i vostri orecchi alle parole del predicatore nel deserto, ai dettami che Io v’invio in tale pienezza! Risvegliatevi e ascoltate le armonie celesti, le quali sono mandate giù dall’Alto per mostrarvi che voi – di origine spirituale – avete un’altra meta e un altro compito, che solo quello di vivere nel temporale!

22. Il vento spirituale soffia e compenetra tutti i cuori; e anche se migliaia non comprendono il suo suono, voi tuttavia non siete sordi, perché potete interpretare il suo movimento e il suo scopo! Risvegliatevi! Gettate lontano da voi le cose del mondo! Voi siete spiriti, abitanti di un altro, più grande, infinito, eterno Mondo! Non dimenticate che questa vita terrena, che così fuggevole corre innanzi a voi, è una vita di prova, una vita di cimento! La gran parte, anzi la maggior parte, vi attende là dove il Sole non tramonta mai in eterno, dove la notte è bandita, e solo la Luce, equivalente dell’Amore – quale grande animatore – compenetra l’intera regione celeste.

23. Accettate il consiglio di interpretare e afferrare nel loro massimo senso spirituale, quelle parole del Vangelo che Io espressi un giorno, quasi duemila anni fa! Esse racchiudono tutto il Mio Amore paterno per i figli Miei.

24. Già allora Io volli dimostrare al popolo ebreo quale Amore può avere e deve anche avere un Creatore come Padre; ma esso non Mi comprese. E adesso – purtroppo devo riconoscerlo – adesso, nel complesso, gli uomini Mi comprendono ancora di meno.

25. Un giorno Io dissi loro: «Il mio giogo è dolce!», e oggi dico di nuovo: “Come può essere altro un giogo d’Amore, se non dolce; e il carico, come se non leggero, quando l’Amore aiuta a portarlo?”.

26. Comprendetelo bene! Abbandonate il mondo! Esso può dilettarvi per dei momenti, ma mai appagarvi a lungo; infatti, con il possesso di un bene materiale, cessa la speranza di raggiungerlo! Non è così però per le cose spirituali!

27. Il Mio Regno è infinito. La proprietà spirituale non ha confini e nessun limite; per questo è possibile l’eterno progredire. Ad ogni grado c’è da raggiungere un godimento maggiore; ad ogni grado, forza e capacità superiori.

28. Mentre nelle cose del mondo devono sempre concorrere prima, condizioni e circostanze per raggiungere quanto desiderato, il progresso spirituale offre sempre l’occasione per progredire. Mentre nel mondano la maggior parte delle cose dipende dagli altri, è nello Spirito, è il vostro interiore la più grande miniera, dove giacciono nascosti tutti i tesori di un infinito mondo spirituale. È il vostro interiore, dove Io posso manifestarMi come Padre, come Figlio e come Spirito Supremo, dalla cui manifestazione dipendono la vostra pace e la vostra quiete, e per mezzo del quale voi imparate poi a considerare tutte le contrarietà della vita, non come punizioni, bensì come prove sagge e necessarie, e solo allora comprenderete completamente la massima: «Venite a me, voi che siete oppressi!». L’Amore, l’eterno infinito Amore di un Padre celeste, vi ha certo caricato di questo peso, Egli però vi aiuta anche a portarlo.

29. Le sofferenze e le sorti avverse della vita umana, quindi, non sono tormenti, bensì solo benedizioni di un Padre, il quale non vorrebbe fare dei Suoi figli i signori del mondo, bensì i propugnatori della Sua Dottrina d’Amore qui e, un giorno, in quel Regno senza fine.

30. Prendetevi tutto questo bene a cuore! Il risultato finale vi dimostrerà certamente ciò che si trova alla fine del Vangelo[1]: «Poiché il Mio giogo è dolce, e il Mio carico è leggero». – Amen!
