25. Predigt von Jesus… Die Verheissung des Trösters

Johannes 15:26 und Johannes 16:7
“Wenn aber der Tröster kommen wird, welchen ich euch senden werde vom Vater, der Geist der Wahrheit, der vom Vater ausgeht, der wird zeugen von mir.” “Aber ich sage euch die Wahrheit: Es ist euch gut, daß ich hingehe. Denn wenn ich nicht hingehe, so kommt der Tröster nicht zu euch; wenn ich aber gehe, will ich ihn zu euch senden.”

01. Dieser Vers findet sich in zwei Kapiteln des Evangeliums Johannes vor, und zwar im ersten als ein Versprechen, daß Ich Meinen verlassenen Jüngern den Tröster, den Geist der Wahrheit senden werde, welcher ihnen zeigen wird, daß alles wahr und richtig war, was Ich sie lehrte, – und im zweiten als ein Hinweis, daß Mein Hingang notwendig war, um das zu bekräftigen, was Ich ihnen von Mir und Meiner göttlichen Sendung gesagt hatte. Denn in diesem zweiten Kapitel heißt es: “Wenn Ich nicht hingehe, so kommt der Tröster nicht zu euch!” Dadurch bewies Ich ihnen, daß Mein Hingang zum ,Vater` – wie Ich Mich dort ausdrückte – teils als Schluß Meiner Mission, teils auch als Anfangspunkt der ihrigen nach Meinen Plänen, die Ich zur Rettung der Menschen entworfen hatte, unumgänglich notwendig war.

02. Wenn ein Meister seine Zöglinge verläßt, ehe sie ganz reif sind, um auch ohne ihn den Lehrkurs fortsetzen zu können, so ernennt er gewöhnlich einen Stellvertreter, der das Weitere ausführt, was zur Vollendung des Ganzen notwendig ist. So tat auch Ich.

03. Meine Mission auf Erden oder Mein Verweilen unter Meinen Jüngern war nur so lange von Nutzen, als sie noch nicht ganz in Meine Lehre eingeweiht waren. Ich mußte Mein Dasein auf eurer Erde erst mit der größten Tat der Demütigung und der Liebe beschließen, was der praktische Teil Meiner Lehre war. Ich mußte Meinen Jüngern durch die Tat zeigen, welche Opfer Meine Lehre und deren Erhaltung verlangt, und ihnen, gleichsam vorausgehend, als ewiges Beispiel zeigen, was Meine rechten Jünger auch zu ertragen imstande sein sollen, d.h. sogar ihr Leben für ihren Glauben zu lassen, welchem Schicksal später viele von ihnen erlagen. Ich mußte ihnen auch beweisen, durch Meine Auferstehung, wie wenig der Tod seine Macht an Mir ausüben konnte. Damit sie sich aber in der Zwischenzeit bis zu Meiner Himmelfahrt oder Rückkehr in Mein Reich nach dem harten Schlag, den ihnen die Abwesenheit Meiner sichtbaren Person verursachte, recht fassen konnten, so war es Meine eigene hohe Pflicht als ihr Meister und Lehrer, ihnen einen Ersatz für Meinen Verlust in Aussicht zu stellen. So versprach Ich ihnen einen Tröster, den sie sich, als Ich es ihnen sagte, wie auch später, als Ich es wiederholte, eher als eine Persönlichkeit, denn als eine Kraft dachten.

04. Als Ich ihnen diese Worte und manches andere sagte, waren sie noch zu sehr weltliche Menschen; sie konnten den geistigen Sinn Meiner Worte, ja Meiner letzten, größten und tiefsten Abschiedsworte nicht im geistigen Sinn verstehen. Deswegen sagte Ich ihnen ja auch: “Ich hätte euch noch manches zu sagen; aber ihr könnt es nicht ertragen!”, was mit anderen Worten sagen will: “Ich kann euch Geistiges nicht in weltliche Begriffe verwandeln. Ihr seid zwar gläubige, aber noch unmündige Kinder, und es muß erst die letzte Weihe über euch kommen, die euch von Kindern zu Männern ausreift, damit ihr geeignet seid, das von Mir Gehörte zu verstehen und es anderen so wiederzugeben, wie ihr es von Mir empfangen habt.”

05. Diese Überschattung durch Meinen Geist machte sie zu Wiedergeborenen; denn Mein Geist vollzog diesen Akt als Trennung des Geistigen vom Weltlichen. Das Verstandesleben hörte auf, und das Leben des Geistes oder Herzens begann. So waren denn Meine Jünger ausgerüstet mit geistiger Willenskraft, zu reden und zu wirken, wie es Meine Lehre erheischte, um so dem von Mir begonnenen Erlösungswerk seine ewige Dauer zu sichern.

06. Was in jenen Zeiten mit Meinen Jüngern geschah, das hat sich in jedem Jahrhundert mit einzelnen, von Mir dazu erwählten Männern erneuert. Nie mangelte es an solchen, Mir ganz Ergebenen, die ihr Leben für ihre Überzeugung ließen. Immer gab es solche Mahner und Auffrischer Meiner für die Menschheit so teuer bezahlten Lehre. Sie waren bestimmt, mitten unter dem groben Mißbrauch, den man mit der Religion trieb, die Lehre des echten und wahren Glaubens nicht in Vergessenheit geraten zu lassen.

07. Auch in eurem Jahrhundert mangelt es an solchen Begeisterten nicht, und jetzt, da die Menschheit sich noch mehr ins Weltliche verirrt, jetzt, wo sich das Ende dieser Prüfungsperiode für die Menschheit naht, vermehren sich auch die Anhänger Meiner wahren Lehre, welche so zur Gründung Meines Reiches die ersten Bausteine liefern sollen, damit Ich schon bei Meiner Ankunft gläubige Herzen vorfinde. Denn zum zweiten Mal will Ich nicht tauben Ohren predigen, sondern die Dämmerung des Morgenrots muß da sein, und die geistigen Augen Meiner Verehrer müssen schon vorbereitet sein, das ganze Licht Meiner Liebe und Meines Erscheinens ohne Schaden ertragen zu können.

08. Wie Ich in jenen Zeiten Meinen Jüngern den Tröster versprach, welchen Ich ihnen senden würde, so lasse Ich auch jetzt in jedes fromme, Mir ergebene Herz den wahren Trost einfließen, den nur Meine Lehre, nur die wahre Religion und das wahre Glaubensbekenntnis geben kann, welches aus Meinen Worten erhellt.

09. Jetzt ist der wahre Tröster in den Menschen gelegt. Er erwächst aus der richtigen Befolgung Meiner beiden Liebesgesetze, wenn sie richtig aufgefaßt, auch in diesem Sinne ausgeübt werden.

10. Um Mein Werk zu beschleunigen, habe Ich Mich herbeigelassen, durch direkte Mitteilungen alles klar auseinanderzusetzen, was den Menschen, wie Meine Jünger einst sagten, zu hart oder zu unverständlich war. Jetzt, da Meine Mitteilungen so reichlich fließen, bin Ich eigentlich schon geistig auf eure Erde hinabgestiegen, lehre und führe Meine Kinder tatsächlich wie einst. Es fehlt nur Meine sichtbare Erscheinung, welche die Zweifelnden aber nur zum Glauben zwingen würde, was gegen die Freiheit des Menschen wäre.

11. Jetzt wähle Ich wieder Meine Jünger, die die goldene Saat Meiner Liebelehre aussäen sollen; nur habe Ich jetzt nicht mehr nötig, sie so zu führen wie einst. In jener Zeit mußte Ich andere Mittel anwenden, Ich mußte selbst kommen und ihnen das wirkliche Dasein Gottes durch Meine Worte und Taten beweisen. Jetzt braucht es diese Gewaltmittel nicht mehr; denn die Wissenschaft mit ihren Entdeckungen im Gebiete Meiner Weltschöpfung hat den mit Geist und Herz beobachtenden Menschen Wege genug geöffnet, Mich überall zu finden und Mein wirkliches Dasein anzuerkennen.

12. Der Glaubenslehre parallel läuft heutzutage die Lehre durch Überzeugung. Nur ein absichtlich blind sein Wollender wird das Dasein eines Gottes leugnen, welches doch in allen Ecken und Winkeln der Schöpfung, unten und oben, ja selbst in des Menschen eigenem Herzen trotz aller Gegenbeweise besteht. Nur ein solcher Mensch wird leugnen, daß es einen Gott, einen Gesetzgeber und – wie das hinterlassene Werk, eure Bibel, es euch lehrt – auch einen liebenden Vater gibt, der trotz Verirrungen und Ausschweifungen aller erdenklichen Art der Menschen stets Verzeihung statt Vergeltung, stets Geduld statt strengen Gerichtes übt und stets das Leben und nicht den Tod, den geistigen nämlich, verbreiten will.

13. Deshalb ist euch auch jetzt der Tröster ins Herz gelegt, und ihr seid Herren eures Friedens und eurer Ruhe. Ich brauche euch denselben nicht mehr zu senden, da ihr ihn schon von Mir empfangen habt. Es ist an euch, das Empfangene gehörig in Wort und Tat auszuüben, weil ihr dadurch zeigt, daß ihr Meine Kinder, Meine Jünger in dieser Zeit seid.

14. Kümmert euch nicht um die Ausschreitungen auf religiösem Gebiet, die sich jetzt überall regen! Sie sind wohl Wecker, doch ihren Anhängern wird über kurz oder lang der Hauptfaktor, der Tröster, fehlen, den Ich damals nur denen versprach, die Meine wahren Jünger waren, und denen auch ihr in allem nachfolgen sollt.

15. Es mögen noch so viele religiöse Lehrgebäude aufgebaut werden, wer nicht zu Meinem einfachen Hause zurückkehrt, in dem nur die Liebe, geleitet durch die Weisheit, allein thront, dem fehlt in schweren Augenblicken der Tröster überall; denn ihm fehlt neben dem wahren Glauben die wahre Überzeugung, ihm fehlt der Geist der Wahrheit, den Ich einst Meinen Jüngern versprach und auch gesandt habe, und der einem jeden zuteil wird, der Mich im Geist und in der Wahrheit begreift und im Geist und in der Wahrheit Meine Lehre in der Tat anwendet.

16. Wahrheit gibt es, wie Ich es euch vor kurzem bewies, nur eine. Wer dieser nicht huldigt, der hat auf Sand gebaut. Kommen dann die großen weltlichen und geistigen Stürme, die zur Reinigung des Geist- Seelenwesens auf dieser Erde stattfinden müssen, so wird solch ein Haus, auf flüchtigen Weisheits-oder Verstandessand gebaut, samt seiner Unterlage spurlos verschwinden, als wäre es nie dagewesen. Nur dasjenige Gebäude wird feststehen, allen Stürmen trotzen und sich als einzige Wahrheit, als einziger fester Grundbau erweisen, welches auf Mein Wort, auf das Wort des Gottes und Schöpfers des ganzen Universums, gebaut ist; denn was ein Gott sprach und mit solchen Opfern Seinem ganzen Geisterreich auch durch die Tat bewies, wie Ich auf eurer Erde, das kann nicht trügen, kann nicht täuschen. Die Getäuschten sind diejenigen, welche allen Mahnungen und Rufen aus der sicht- und unsichtbaren Natur ihre Ohren verschließen, den Tröster in ihrem Verstandesleben suchen, während er nur allein im Herzen zu finden ist.

17. Daher bedenkt jene Worte, die gerade in diesen Kapiteln 15, 16 und 17 stehen, und die Ich einst zu Meinen Jüngern gesagt habe!

18. Sie sind die wichtigsten, gewichtigsten und tiefsten; denn sie waren die Scheideworte eures Vaters, der, ehe Er den letzten Liebesakt vollziehen mußte, noch einen, und zwar den Schlußstein Seines geistigen Gebäudes, welches Er auf Erden zurückließ, gelegt hatte, dessen Bedeutung weit über die jetzige Zeit hinausragt.

19. Was Ich Meinen Jüngern versprach als den ,Tröster`, welchen Ich ihnen senden würde, das lag schon in diesen, von Meinem Lieblinge Johannes aufgezeichneten Worten. Meine Jünger verstanden sie nicht; aber ihr, die ihr jetzt schon so ziemlich geschult und vorbereitet seid, Meine Lehre zu begreifen und zu fassen, wie Ich sie verstanden und auch ausgeübt sehen möchte, ihr könnt in diesen hinterlassenen Worten den Tröster finden, der euch erleuchten, erheben und stark machen kann gegen alles Kommende, wie auch einst Mein Geist die Jünger bestärkte, um ihre künftigen Schicksale mit der zu ihrer Mission notwendigen Seelenstärke zu ertragen.

20. Euch erwachsen zwar solche bitteren Momente nicht, wie einst Meinen Jüngern bei ihrem Lehramt: aber desto mehr habt ihr zu kämpfen mit der Welt, mit ihren Annehmlichkeiten, mit euren Mitmenschen, von denen die Mehrzahl nicht den Weg, den ihr geht, sondern gerade den verkehrten eingeschlagen hat.

21. Euch wird es so gehen, wie Ich es Meinen Jüngern prophezeite: “Die Welt wird euch hassen, weil ihr nicht von ihr seid!”, d.h. weil ihr anderen Grundsätzen, anderen Prinzipien huldigt als die Mehrzahl der Menschen; aber hier ist der Tröster euch am nächsten, der euch für dieses kurze Prüfungsleben einen längeren, größeren, ja ewigen Genuß entgegenhält als Lohn für ein treues Ausharren bei dem einmal festgesetzten Wort eures Vaters, eures Jesus, der Sein irdisches Leben gab, um irdische Geschöpfe vom geistigen Verderben zu retten.

22. Daher sei auch euch das der beste Trost, den Ich jedem nach jeder vollbrachten guten Tat ins Herz lege, das die beste Belohnung und die beste Beruhigung: Meinen Lehren, Meinen Worten gefolgt zu sein, welche am Ende doch, trotz alles Weltglanzes und aller Weltmacht, die letzten Stützen sein werden, welche den Kämpfenden als Rettungspfeiler im großen Ozean der Weltereignisse bleiben werden.

23. Verlaßt daher den Tröster in eurem Herzen nicht, – und Der, welcher diesen Tröster in euer Herz legte, wird euch nicht verlassen! Das versichert euch Der, welcher schon so viel himmlisches Brot, so viel geistigen Segen und so viel wahren Trost über eure Häupter ausgeschüttet hat. Amen.

25th Sermon of Jesus… The Promise of the Comforter
(March 20, 1872)

John 15:26
“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.”

John 16:7
“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

These verses are found in two chapters of the Gospel of John; in the first instance as a promise that I shall send My deserted disciples the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, that will show them that everything I taught was true and correct, and in the second instance as an indication that My decease was necessary as a corroboration of what I had told them about Myself and My divine mission. For, in the second chapter it says: “If I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you!” By this I proved to them that My going to the “Father” -as I expressed it – was partly the conclusion of My mission and partly unavoidably necessary as the starting point of theirs according to My plan for the salvation of mankind.

If a master leaves his pupils before they are quite mature, yet still wants to enable them to continue their studies, he usually nominates a substitute who carries out what is needed for the completion of the course. This is what I did, too.

My mission upon earth, or My sojourn among My disciples, was of value only as long as they were not yet wholly initiated into My teaching. First, I had to conclude My presence on your earth with the greatest act of humiliation and love, which was the practical part of My teaching. I had to actually demonstrate to My disciples what sacrifices My teaching and its preservation required and show them as an eternal example what My true disciples must be able to bear, that is, to give even their lives for their belief, which later became the fate of many of them. By My resurrection I also had to demonstrate to them that death had no power over Me. But in the meantime – until My ascension or My return into My Kingdom – to help them get over the hard blow the absence of My visible person would deal them, it was My sacred duty as their master and teacher to hold out to them the prospect of a substitute for their loss. Hence I promised them a Comforter which, however, they imagined rather as a personality than a power.

When I told them this and many other things, they were still too worldly and could not comprehend the spiritual meaning of My words, yes indeed, of My final, greatest and most profound words of farewell. Wherefore I also said: “I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now”, or in other words: “I cannot transform spiritual things into worldly concepts. Although you have faith, you are still minor children and you have yet to submit to the last consercration which will mature you from children to men and enable you to comprehend what you have heard from Me and pass it on to others as you received it.”
This overshadowing by My Spirit made them reborn; for My Spirit transacted the separation of the spiritual from the worldly. The rational life ceased and the life of the spirit or heart began. Thus My disciples were endowed with spiritual willpower to speak and act as required by My teaching, thereby assuring everlasting permanency to the work of salvation which I had begun.
What in those times happened with My disciples has happened anew in each century with individuals I had chosen for this purpose. There was never a lack of those who, completely devoted to Me, gave their lives for their convictions. There have always been admonishers and revivers of My so dearly-paid-for teaching. It was their mission, in the midst of gross misuse of religion, to make sure that the teaching of a genuine and true faith did not fall into oblivion.

Also in your century there is no lack of such inspired people and now, as mankind is straying more and more into worldly interests, now – with the end of this trial period for mankind approaching – the number of those keeps increasing who follow My true teaching and who are destined to furnish the first building stones for the establishment of My Kingdom, so that I may already find faithful hearts on My advent. For I am not going to preach a second time to deaf ears! The morning must already be dawning and the spiritual eyes of My adorers must be prepared, so that they are able to bear the full light of My love and My appearance unharmed.

As in those days I promised My disciples the Comforter, thus also today I allow to flow into every heart devoted to Me the comfort that only My teaching, only the true religion and true confession of faith in accordance with My Word can give.
Now the true Comforter comes to dwell within man when he correctly comprehends and fulfills My two commandments of love. To speed up My work, I have condescended to explain through direct messages quite clearly all that – as My disciples once said – was too difficult and incomprehensible for men. Now, when My messages flow so abundantly, I have actually already descended spiritually to your earth and am teaching and guiding My children as I once did. Only My visible appearance is still- missing, but this would only compel the doubters to believe and would be against man’s freedom of decision.

I am now again choosing My disciples who shall sow the golden seed of My teaching of love, but there is no longer any need for Me to guide them the way I once did. At that time I had to use other means; I had to come Myself and prove to them by words and deeds the actual existence of God. Now such forceful means are no longer necessary, for science, with its discoveries in the domains of My cosmic creation, has opened up enough ways for those who observe with spirit and heart to find Me everywhere and to recognize My actual existence.

Today, teaching through conviction is running parallel with the religious teaching. Only a person who wants to be blind will deny the existence of a God manifest everywhere in creation, below and above, even in man’s own heart, despite all counter-evidence. Only such a blind person will deny the existence of a God, a law-giver and – as your Bible teaches – a loving Father Who, notwithstanding all man’s errors and aberrations, always exercises forgiveness instead of retaliation, patience instead of severe judgment and at all times wants to further life instead of spiritual death.

Also now the Comforter is put into your hearts and you are masters of your own peace and tranquility. I no longer have to send him to you since you already received him from Me. It is now up to you to practise diligently in word and deed what you have been taught, thereby showing that you are My children, My disciples of the present time.

Do not be concerned about the transgressions in the field of religion all around you. It is true, they are awakeners, but their followers will sooner or later miss the principal factor, the Comforter, whom once I promised only to those who were My true disciples.

They may erect as many buildings for religious instruction as they like, but he who does not return to My simple house where only love guided by wisdom rules, will not have the Comforter in his difficult moments, for he lacks true conviction as well as true faith. He is without the spirit of truth, which I once promised and also sent to My disciples and which everyone receives, who comprehends Me in spirit and in truth and in this way also practises My teaching.

As I proved to you a short while ago, there is only one truth. He who disregards this, has built upon sand. When the great worldly and spiritual storms come that have to take place on this earth for the purification of the spiritual soul substance, such a house, built upon the shifting sands of rational thinking, will disappear without a trace, together with its foundations. The only building that will firmly stand, resisting all storms and proving itself to be the sole truth, the only firm foundation, is the one that is erected upon My Word, the word of the God and Creator of the entire universe. For what a God spoke and actually proved to His entire spirit-kingdom with such sacrifices as I did on earth, cannot be fallible, cannot deceive. The deceived are only those who refuse to listen to all the admonitions and calls from visible and invisible nature, seeking the Comforter through reasoning, whilst he can only be found with the heart.

Therefore, keep in mind the words I once spoke to My disciples and which are recorded particularly in chapters 15, 16 and 17. They are the most important, consequential and profound words, for they were your Father’s farewell words Who, before He had to perform His last act of love, laid another stone, the corner stone of His spiritual edifice, which He left behind on earth and the significance of which extends far beyond this age.

What I promised to My disciples as the “Comforter” that I would send them was already contained in these words which were recorded by My favourite disciple John. My disciples did not understand them, but you, who are already better schooled and prepared to conceive My teaching as I want to have it understood and applied, you can find in these words the “‘Comforter” who can enlighten, inspire and strengthen you for all that is coming, just as once My spirit fortified the disciples to enable them to bear their future fates with the strength of soul needed for their mission.

Although you will not experience such bitter moments as did My disciples in their missionary work, you still have to battle all the more with the world, its pleasures and with your fellowmen, most of whom have not taken the road you are walking, but the wrong one.

What I prophesied to My disciples will happen to you: “The world will hate you because you are not of it”, that is, because you follow different principles from the majority of people. But this is where the “Comforter” is closest to you, offering you – to make up for this short trial life – longer lasting, greater, eternal delights as a reward for faithfully persevering with the once and for all established Word of your Father, your Jesus, Who sacrificed His physical life to save mortal beings from spiritual perdition.

Therefore, may that be your best comfort which I put into everyone’s heart after every good deed, the best reward and reassurance that My teaching and words have been followed which, notwithstanding all worldly glory and power, will be the last supports left to those battling in the great ocean of world events.

Do not forsake the Comforter within your heart, – and He Who put this Comforter there will not forsake you! This assurance you are receiving from the One Who has already showered upon you so much heavenly bread, spiritual blessing, and true comfort. Amen.

«Ma quando verrà il Consolatore che io vi manderò dal Padre, lo Spirito di verità che procede dal Padre, egli testimonierà di me».

Giovanni 16:7…
«Ma io vi dico la verità: è bene per voi che io me ne vada. Poiché se non me ne vado, non verrà a voi il Consolatore; ma se io vado ve lo manderò».

1. Questo versetto si trova in due capitoli del Vangelo di Giovanni, e precisamente: – nel primo, come una promessa che Io avrei mandato ai discepoli da Me lasciati, il Consolatore, lo Spirito di Verità, il quale avrebbe dimostrato loro che tutto ciò che Io avevo insegnato, era vero e giusto; – e nel secondo, come un accenno che la Mia dipartita sarebbe stata necessaria per confermare ciò che avevo detto loro di Me e della Mia missione divina. In questo secondo capitolo, infatti, si legge: «Se non Me ne vado, non verrà a voi il Consolatore!». E con ciò Io dimostrai appunto loro, che la Mia dipartita al ‘Padre’ – così come Mi ero espresso – diventava essenziale per la conclusione della Mia missione, e anche come punto di partenza della loro missione, secondo i piani che Io avevo concepito per la salvezza degli uomini.

2. Quando un maestro lascia i suoi allievi, prima che questi siano completamente maturi, per continuare il corso d’insegnamento anche senza la sua presenza, egli, di solito, nomina un sostituto, il quale compie ciò che è necessario al completamento del tutto. Così, feci anch’Io.

3. La Mia missione sulla Terra o la Mia presenza tra i Miei discepoli fu di utilità, solo fino a che essi non furono completamente iniziati nella Mia Dottrina. Io dovetti terminare la Mia esistenza sulla vostra Terra solo con il più grande atto d’umiliazione e d’amore, cosa che fu la parte pratica di tale Dottrina. Io dovevo, con l’azione, dimostrare ai Miei discepoli quali sacrifici Essa richiedesse per la Sua conservazione e, per così dire, precedendoli, dimostrar loro, come eterno Esempio, cosa devono essere anche in grado di sopportare i Miei veri discepoli, vale a dire, perfino sacrificare la propria vita per la propria fede, al cui destino più tardi giunsero molti di loro. Dovevo anche dimostrar loro, con la Mia Resurrezione, quanto poco esercitasse il suo potere – la morte – su di Me. Ma nel frattempo, affinché fino alla Mia ascensione, o fino al ritorno nel Mio Regno, essi potessero riprendersi dal duro colpo provocato dalla lontananza della Mia Persona visibile, era Mio sacro dovere, come Maestro e Guida, di prospettar loro anche un’alternativa per la Mia perdita. Allora promisi loro un Consolatore; ed essi, quando gliene parlai, come anche più tardi quando lo ripetei, se lo immaginarono come una personalità, piuttosto che come una forza.

4. Quando Io dissi loro queste parole e parecchie altre, erano uomini ancora troppo mondani, e non potevano comprendere il senso spirituale di quelle, come delle Mie ultime, massime e profondissime parole di commiato, nel senso spirituale. Per questa ragione, Io dissi anche: «Avrei ancora molte cose da dirvi, ma voi non potete sopportarle!», cosa che in altre parole voleva dire: “Io non posso trasformare lo spirituale in concetti mondani. Voi siete certamente credenti, però ancora fanciulli immaturi, e dovrà prima venire su di voi l’ultima consacrazione che vi faccia maturare completamente da fanciulli a uomini, per essere in grado di comprendere ciò che avete udito da Me, e di trasmetterlo agli altri così come l’avete ricevuto”.

5. La discesa del Mio Spirito, trasformò loro in dei rinati; il Mio Spirito, infatti, compì quest’atto di separazione dello spirituale dal mondano. La vita dell’intelletto cessò, ed ebbe inizio la vita dello Spirito, o del cuore. Così i Miei discepoli furono provvisti della forza di volontà spirituale, per parlare e operare come lo richiedeva la Mia Dottrina, assicurando in tal modo, all’Opera di redenzione da Me iniziata, la sua eterna durata.

6. Ciò che accadde in quei tempi ai Miei discepoli, si è rinnovato in ogni secolo e con singoli uomini, per questo scopo da Me prescelti. Mai mancarono tali uomini, a Me completamente fedeli, i quali sacrificarono la loro vita per le proprie convinzioni. Sempre ci furono tali ammonitori e rinnovatori della Mia Dottrina, pagata così cara per l’umanità. Essi furono destinati, nel mezzo dei più grossolani abusi perpetrati alla religione, a non lasciar cadere nell’oblio la Dottrina della vera e autentica fede.

7. Anche nel vostro secolo non mancano tali uomini ispirati, e ora che l’umanità si smarrisce ancor più nelle cose mondane, ora che per essa si avvicina la fine di questo periodo di prova, si moltiplicano anche i seguaci della Mia vera Dottrina, i quali dovranno fornire le prime pietre da costruzione per la fondazione del Mio Regno, affinché al Mio Arrivo, Io trovi già cuori credenti. Io, infatti, non voglio per la seconda volta predicare a orecchi sordi, ma ci dovrà essere l’albeggiare dell’aurora, e gli occhi spirituali dei Miei adoratori dovranno già essere preparati a sopportare senza danno la Luce completa del Mio Amore e della Mia Apparizione.

8. Come a quei tempi promisi ai Miei discepoli il Consolatore che avrei mandato loro, così anche adesso in ogni pio cuore a Me devoto, Io infondo la vera consolazione che può dare soltanto la Mia Dottrina, e la vera religione e il vero credo che risulta chiaro dalle Mie parole.

9. Ora negli uomini è posto il vero Consolatore. Egli si sviluppa con la giusta osservanza delle Mie due Leggi dell’Amore, se giustamente comprese, e anche praticate in tal senso.

10. Per affrettare la Mia opera, Io Mi sono prestato a esporre chiaramente, attraverso comunicazioni dirette, tutto ciò che, come dissero un giorno i Miei discepoli, sembrava essere troppo duro, o troppo incomprensibile per gli uomini. Adesso che le Mie comunicazioni fluiscono così abbondanti, sono proprio Io, che già, disceso spiritualmente sulla vostra Terra, istruisco e guido i Miei figli di fatto, come un giorno. Manca solo la Mia apparizione visibile, la quale però costringerebbe i dubbiosi alla fede, cosa che sarebbe contro la libertà dell’uomo.

11. Ora Io scelgo di nuovo i Miei discepoli, i quali devono spargere la semente d’oro della Mia Dottrina d’Amore; solo che, ora, non ho più bisogno di guidarli come un giorno. In quel tempo dovetti far uso di altri mezzi, dovetti venire Io stesso, e mostrar loro con le Mie parole e le Mie opere, la reale esistenza di Dio. Ora non c’è più bisogno di questi mezzi costrittivi! La scienza, infatti, con le sue scoperte nel campo della Mia Creazione universale, ha dischiuso sufficienti vie all’uomo che osserva con spirito e cuore, per trovarMi ovunque, e per riconoscere la Mia reale esistenza.

12. Parallelamente alla dottrina della fede, corre oggigiorno la dottrina della convinzione. Solo uno che vuol essere cieco di proposito, negherà l’esistenza di un Dio che permane in tutti gli angoli e parti della Creazione, sopra e sotto, anzi perfino nel cuore dell’uomo, nonostante tutte le prove contrarie. Solo un simile uomo negherà che esiste un Dio, un Legislatore e – come v’insegna l’opera lasciatavi, la vostra Bibbia, – anche un Padre amorevole che, nonostante tutti gli immaginabili traviamenti e dissolutezze degli uomini, esercita sempre il perdono invece della vendetta, sempre la pazienza invece del severo giudizio, e che sempre vuole diffondere la vita e non la morte, ossia la morte spirituale.

13. Per questo, adesso sarà posto anche nei vostri cuori il Consolatore, e sarete padroni della vostra pace e della vostra quiete. Io non avrò più bisogno di inviarvelo, perché l’avrete già ricevuto da Me. E starà a voi praticare ciò che avrete ricevuto convenientemente, in parola e in azione, poiché in tal modo dimostrerete che siete figli Miei, i Miei discepoli in questo tempo.

14. Non preoccupatevi delle trasgressioni nel campo religioso che si faranno sentire ovunque! Sono certamente i campanelli della sveglia, però ai loro seguaci mancherà alla fine il fattore principale, il Consolatore, che Io a suo tempo promisi invece, solo a quelli che sarebbero stati i Miei veri discepoli, che anche voi dovrete seguire in tutto.

15. Potranno essere costruiti tanti edifici d’insegnamento religioso, quanti si vorrà, ma chi non ritorna nella Mia semplice casa, dove troneggia solo l’Amore guidato dalla Sapienza, a costui nei momenti difficili mancherà il Consolatore. A lui, infatti, mancheranno, oltre alla vera fede, il vero convincimento e lo Spirito della verità che Io promisi un giorno ai Miei discepoli, e che anche ho mandato, ed è dato a chiunque Mi comprenda nello spirito e nella verità, praticando, di fatto, la Mia Dottrina, nello spirito e nella verità.

16. Di Verità, infatti, come vi ho dimostrato poco fa, ce n’è una sola, e chi non Le rende omaggio, costui ha costruito sulla sabbia! Quando verranno le grandi tempeste materiali e spirituali che dovranno aver luogo su questa Terra per la purificazione dell’essere animico-spirituale, un tal edificio, costruito sulla fuggevole sabbia del sapere e dell’intelletto, svanirà insieme alle sue fondamenta senza lasciar traccia, come non fosse mai esistito. Resterà saldo, solo quell’edificio che resisterà a tutte le tempeste e si dimostrerà come l’unica verità, l’unico saldo fondamento edificato sulla Mia Parola, sulla Parola del Dio e Creatore dell’intero universo; poiché ciò che Egli disse – e lo dimostrò con tali sacrifici al Suo intero Regno dello spirito anche nei i fatti, come Io sulla vostra Terra – ciò non può ingannare, non può deludere. Gli illusi sono quelli che chiudono i propri orecchi a tutti gli ammonimenti e alle chiamate provenienti dalla natura visibile e invisibile, e cercano il Consolatore nel loro intelletto, mentre Egli non può essere trovato che solamente nel cuore.

17. Perciò riflettete sulle parole che stanno proprio in questi capitoli 15, 16 e 17, e che Io espressi un giorno ai Miei discepoli!

18. Esse sono le più importanti, più poderose e più profonde; rappresentano, infatti, il congedo del Padre vostro che, prima di compiere l’ultimo atto d’amore, ha posto ancora una chiave, e precisamente la chiave di volta del Suo edificio spirituale da lasciare sulla Terra, il cui significato va ben oltre il tempo attuale.

19. Ciò che Io promisi ai Miei discepoli come ‘Consolatore’, e che avrei mandato loro, sta già annotato in queste parole del Mio prediletto Giovanni. I Miei discepoli non le compresero; ma voi che adesso siete abbastanza istruiti e preparati per afferrare e comprendere la Mia Dottrina, come Io vorrei fosse compresa e anche praticata, voi potrete trovare in queste parole lasciatevi in eredità, il Consolatore! Egli potrà illuminarvi, elevarvi e rendervi forti per affrontare tutto ciò che verrà, come un giorno il Mio Spirito rafforzò i discepoli, per far sì che essi sopportassero i loro futuri destini con la forza animica necessaria a compiere la loro missione.

20. A voi non toccheranno certamente tali momenti amari, come un giorno ai Miei discepoli nella loro missione d’insegnamento, ma tanto più avrete da combattere con il mondo, con le sue comodità, col vostro prossimo, di cui la maggior parte non ha imboccato la via che voi percorrete, ma proprio quella opposta.

21. A voi andrà così come profetizzai ai Miei discepoli: «Il mondo vi odierà perché voi non siete del mondo!», vale a dire, perché rendete omaggio ad altre regole e ad altri principi che quelli della maggioranza degli uomini; ma qui il Consolatore vi sarà vicinissimo e, per questa breve vita di prova, vi prometterà una più lunga, più grande, anzi eterna gioia, come ricompensa per la fedele perseveranza alla Parola una volta prescritta del Padre vostro, del vostro Gesù, il Quale diede la Sua vita temporale per salvare le creature terrene dalla rovina spirituale.

22. Perciò, sia questo anche per voi il miglior conforto che Io pongo nel cuore di ciascuno dopo il compimento di ogni buona azione, cosa che è la miglior ricompensa e il miglior consolatore: l’aver seguito i Miei insegnamenti e le Mie parole! Le quali alla fine, nonostante ogni splendore e ogni potenza mondana, saranno gli ultimi sostegni rimasti ai combattenti, quali ancore di salvataggio, nel grande oceano degli avvenimenti del mondo.

23. Perciò, non abbandonate il Consolatore nel vostro cuore, e Colui che mise questo Consolatore in esso, non vi abbandonerà! Ve lo assicura Colui che ha già versato sulle vostre teste tanto pane spirituale, tante benedizioni spirituali e tanta vera consolazione. – Amen!

第二十五道耶穌的寶訓……保惠師的諾言

（1872年3月20日）

約翰福音15:26

“但是當保惠師來了，我要從父那裡差到你們那裡，就是從天而來的真理之靈，他必為我作見證。“

約翰福音16：7

”然而我告訴你實情;我離開是適宜的，因為如果我不走，保惠師就不會到你這裡來;但是如果我離開了，我會把他送到你身邊。“

這些經文在約翰福音的兩章中有所發現。首先作為一個承諾，我將給我的留下門徒派遣擔保人，真理之靈，向他們表明，我所教導的每一件事都是真實正確的，而在第二種情況下，這表明我的死亡是必要的，證實了我告訴他們關於我自己和我神聖的使命。因為在第二章中它說：“如果我不走了，保惠師就不會到你們這裡來！”這樣我向他們證明，我去“父親” – 就像我表達的那樣 – 我的使命和部分無可避免的必要性是他們的出發點，部分是根據我對拯救人類的計劃。
